I understand your frustration. Reimer was concussed/whiplashed in a game against the Canadiens a few years ago, where somehow Gionta accidental ass-checked the goalie, in the paint.

However, what you seem to be selectively ignoring is that the officiating has been "just a little different" in the post season than the regular season - shouldn't be that way... but it is. Before you get "too tired" about hearing this ... consider that - the differences in officiating in the playoffs have benefited the Bruins far far more than they have been hurt by them.

Yes, we know...the officials have stolen the playoff rounds from the Leafs and handed them to the Bruins.

Since we are going to bring up officiating...so let me get this straight, The ref told Carlo, who asked what happened right after it happened, and the ref told him it was an accidental stick to the face. Now correct me if I'm wrong...isn't that by definition, a high stick minor penalty per rule 60? I mean pretty much all high sticking calls are on "accidental" stick above the shoulders...if it's intentional then it's a match penalty, again per rule 60. So if the ref said he was hit in the face with a stick, why wasn't a penalty called??? I don't get it.

haven't been this ashamed of the Bruins since the steve casper days, take the misconduct and apply justice. Thats supposed to be the beauty of hockey, ref misses a call even it out on the ice. 2 games in a row they had no answer to the physicality. And ooooooooo they waived Richie. Big f.n. deal, this team is a first round exit.

fake news it was an errant fist
- Alexzanki

it totally fake news saying its an errant fist. He skated through the crease, he has no history, but that was intentional.

Sorry, no way that was intentional. He got crossed checked just before the hit, if your d-man doesn't hit him Rask doesn't get hit, end of story.

It's frustrating to lose your goalie that way, I get it. It stinks that he might be out for a couple of games. I wish there would have been a fight over it sometime during the game.

But the CBJ can't afford to lose players at this point, and can't give up power plays with their lack of offense. There's no way anyone is taking a run at a goalie in the second minute of the first period, especially a first year playing in the league who started the year in the AHL.

I thought Boston fans and commentators were better than this (radio play by play guys excluded).

His momentum (including the "crosscheck") was FORWARD. His arm swings out the LEFT when it makes contact with Rask. When going into the crease a player needs to make EVERY effort to avoid contact with goalie. He does not make ANY effort to avoid the goalie.

If the glove doesn’t fit, you must acquit.

Personally I think the blue paint should be a no rule zone as pertaining to the tender. Enter his zone at your own peril a la billy smith, hextal, or wakaluk. That being said outside the blue paint they are just another player.

Intentional or not - if you injure a goalie while skating through his crease there needs to be a punishment - if only to reduce the number of incidents.
- Nasty_Duck

I won't disagree because I am kind of undecided on this one. I do know that I would be pissed if it was Ander7en,

Just make sure you (the general "you") remember than when another goalie gets run. There is generally not a lot of sympathy, but a ton of derision, for the fanbase of the goalies who are injured.

For the most part, that isn't the Bruins team any more.

High skilled, and I thought they deserved to win the cup last year. They will be right there again this year, barring an injury to Pastrnak or Marchand.

Kid has two penalty minutes...
It is one minute into the game....

So in your mind this was pre-meditated before the game started? There is no boiling point in one minute of a hockey game for this kid to intentionally go after Rask...

It was a freaking accident that should have been a penalty... what are we even talking about here.

On another note, Halak has been a little shaky of late. Hopefully he can find his game in this stretch.

He's always hated Tuukka.
Finally got his opportunity to get even for that time.

Details aren't important.
He's done it before, and he'll do it again.

Need to acquire Reeves and Haley.

I agree. I did have sympathy for (Reimer?) when he was concussed by a Habs player a number of years ago.

And same goes for things like the Tkachuk incident - I think he got what he deserved. I'll be right there piling on Marchand if he pulls any more of his embarassing antics.

I dont think he meant to give him a concussion, but I think he intended on "bumping" him, making him uncomfortable so to speak. Anyway, ancient history now.

Much better effort last night. Good to see secondary scoring step up. And heavy-weight Tory Krug in a fight...
