Yeah, Risto has been very good keep him away from McCabe. It's funny how much better Rhino gets when the season hits the second half. And for all the nay sayers are PK has improved since Frolic got hear. - Buff36
Maybe we can stagger Rhino’s celery. Games 1-42 he only getS $36,585.37 per game. And games 43-82 he gets $96,560.98 per game.... |

It really is a problem. We'd be in a lot better shape if we got more production from him, particularly on the PP, all year long. |

My source is a rather distant one, friend of a friend of a friend type stuff, so make of this what you will:
2 weeks ago I was hearing Galchenyuk was a good possibility. Last week interest in Toffoli on the rise. This week back on the Gally train. They know the guy has talent, just needs the right situation. Talented enough to be a 2nd line center in this league. Pens will trade him for peanuts right now. Not sure if they will take olives instead. |

Still think when Skinner comes back they need to put Rhino at Center. Would like to see Skinner Rhino Mojo line and see what they could do. |

Trade them Frolik.
To hell with the PK...they were better than average last year with mostly the same personnel...new system caused them fall off a cliff there. |

they didn't put him as a center when eichel missed a game
didn't put him at center with larsson out, johansson dinged up and erod requesting a trade
if it hasn't happened now, probably never will with this coach |

Why wouldn't the organization want to see their option live...rather than guessing from 3 years ago |

Welcome Michael, very nice read...I enjoyed it and look forward to more!
Also, good to see you check in the comments, we like the exchange here.
Don't mind the rather direct comments made to each other... honestly, there is a fair amount of knowledgeable posters with good points...some times the testosterone gets in the way, lol.
Congratulations and good luck. - IonSabres

Hopefully this is true. I would gladly take both players during the bye week.
If we didn’t lose that Canucks game ..... I would say we are primed to add and see what we can do
Gally > Erod every single day of the week. If gally plays like he sucks. His contract expires and the Sabres part ways

Two main reasons and a bonus reason:
Reinhart at center leaves a massive gap at RW
Even if it works (which is a major if), it will not pay dividends for 25-30 games while he adjusts
Bonus reason:
He's in a contract year and he's close to a 30 goal pace. Switching to center could tank his production and contract. He would have to be willing to take that risk.
Overall I dont think he or the organization view him as the longterm 2C answer. If Eichel got hurt it would be a more realistic conversation imo. Even then, eichel was suspended last year and they didnt do it |

I also think it's why the organization is taking the current path with Mittelstadt. Krueger said they view him long-term at center. Because of the structure of the team when Reinhart came in (Eichel and ROR), it made sense to move him to RW.
In retrospect, it may have been in his (or the team's) best interest to remain at center as a 3C, but they pulled the plug and he became a winger. There are many factors that led to that decision. Notably, the top-6 wing depth. Also, he just may not have been able to play center the NHL level no matter what. |

Yeah I understand they probably won't do it with Rhino, but that's what I think to help this team, and I would actually move Okposo up with Eichel. Ever since he came back from his concussion it seems to have knocked something loose, he is skating very well and he works the boards better then anybody on the team. |

They haven't been playing together for about 4 games know. Yeah I agree they have played very well together, just like to see what Okposo could bring, he has been playing very well, maybe he got his touch back, see what he could do with a few more chances |
