My take is the PO’s amp up on the forecheck & pressure & where every team faces the toughest tests. It’ll come down to how teams handle the pressure & always how goalies play. Your offence imo won’t be a question but how the team D stands up will be. - Nighthawk
some guys just can't handle the extra pressure.

Could a team like the Avs be interested ? They have a massive amount of cap space.
Or a team like the Cbj. They are a bubble team but have a massive amount of cap space and why not add a 3rd pairing D for cheap for a potential playoff run?
This notion Ceci can’t be traded is ridiculous. - Santo_44

I just have a hard time believing that a team with cap space wouldn’t take Ceci.
A seller would take him to make a deal work. Happens all the time they could even retain his salary and flip him for a pick.
You know or...the Leafs could trade him to a team with playoff aspirations but have 10-15 million in cap space. |

I was with you. Hes a legit blue chipper. Wedgie can downplay it as koolaid drinking or maple leaf disease, but our eyes arent deceiving us. - mykokes
I'm not saying he is terrible. Far from it.
What I'm saying is that the history of the Maple Leafs is littered with young defencemen who have had unrealistic expectations dumped on them, and then when they don't live up to them, we run them out of town.
Remember Kenny Jonsson?
Jim Benning?
Luke Schenn?
So let's just slow down with the "I think this guy is going to be like Bobby Orr, except he'll also be better than Jesus, and I hope they make a tenth Star Wars movie with Sandin in it where he kills Darth Vader and has sex with Natalie Portman."
Let's just watch him develop at his own pace.
That's all.

Don’t let leaf PTSD get to you.
The kid is great and they are developing properly. The massive difference between the D prospects you mentioned.
I’m confident.
I wasn’t with Schenn because the wrong guys were making the decisions. And that was in a time when guys like Schenn were overvalued.... |

I think all those DMen were not developed properly. Johnsson looked good after being moved.

While this has certainly happened in the past... The first post your started ranting on, was one line of positive, and then the rest was all basically about tempering expectations. But you focused on the one line.
sandin looks like he's going to be a star.
but before we put his name in ink on the roster for the rest of the year, let's see how sandin does against a more physical team; particularly one more than half a step up above an ahl quality team.
i'm not sold on him being able to handle a physical playoff series just yet.
I'd say you're maybe overreacting just a tad.
