Last year he had 79 points in 75 games at the age of 21.
But tell us more about how great Baker Street is and why the Leafs need him. |

So reading that whole thing on SN and thinking of the lot kind of like the idea of going ahead and moving Ceci along with what we need to get Martinez out of LA and then making the deal for Dillon out of SJ. Add both there and maybe try and get a damn backup goalie upgrade and call it a day there.
Let Barrie go next year and keep Martinez and re-sign Muzzin. |

I’d get Martinez.
Might even be able to get them to retain a little salary.
2nd plus a prospect is the cost apparently.
2nd, Bracco, Timo for Martinez at 3 million and Clifford? |

It might go up in the summer. I understand the importance of getting things done early. But he might be wondering "why now specifically". I worry that he might sense that he has them over a barrel right now with Rielly hurt & the questions about next year. I mean Holl played the most minutes last night. If I'm Muzzin I'd be thinking that I'm the best healthy D-man they got right now, so what is that worth? - Salami_Tsunami

Gardiner had an injury at the worst time. That brought his term/cap hit down. I suspect Muzzin will want more.

Is Martinez even good anymore? He is Left that can play RHD, so not an idea trade for the Leafs really. |

Huge News, Bergevin not willing to trade untradeable player
We’ve gotten to that point of a disappointing, injury-riddled Habs season where people are wondering if Montreal would consider trading Carey Price or Shea Weber before the Feb. 24 deadline.
Don’t count on it.
As I reported on TSN’s “Insider Trading,” Canadiens GM Marc Bergevin said firmly to me on Tuesday that he has zero intention of even entertaining the idea of trading either player, saying he would not even listen if teams called. The duo are important parts of the team moving forward as the youth movement continues to integrate itself and having veteran leadership from Weber and Price around those young players is extremely important. |

Going to the game tonight, can't wait to watch Tkachuk run Hyman into the boards from behind and then watch Hyman defend himself as the rest of the team checks their blade tape |

I don't find him particularly appealing. He hasn't been playing hard minutes and he hasn't been doing well in those minutes he's playing. If I was compiling a list of targets, it would be small . . .
Off of Anaheim, I do like Lindholm. I doubt Anaheim would want to part with Lindholm, or that we would have the assets to make that trade appealing if they did. Manson is still a tough call. He may not seem the same as he was, but he is being deployed as a 3/4 in a shut down role; the only problem is he isn't doing a very good job of it on the surface. Although if you really look at it, it seems most of the problem is his forwards aren't scoring. They generate but fail to capitalize.
Brodin off of Minnesota, Vatanen off of Jersey and in the guys who wouldn't trade with us category, I like DeMelo off of Ottawa, and I don't have a problem with Petry or Chiarot off of Montreal (although both have term and NTCs).

Nylander will ensure Tkachuk gets payback.
Nylander will hold a house party while his parents are away, and invite everyone but Tkachuk, and then post tons of pictures on Snapchat so that Tkachuk knows he's missing the party of the year.
It's going to be so epic. |

pretty much
Weber I think can be traded, as the cap implications if he retires does not affect the new team (I think)
But not sure a team would want to take the full cap he has to risk him playing several years beyond his effectiveness date |
