That's because several teams are going to give him offer sheets in February.

I don't find him particularly appealing. He hasn't been playing hard minutes and he hasn't been doing well in those minutes he's playing. If I was compiling a list of targets, it would be small . . .

Off of Anaheim, I do like Lindholm. I doubt Anaheim would want to part with Lindholm, or that we would have the assets to make that trade appealing if they did. Manson is still a tough call. He may not seem the same as he was, but he is being deployed as a 3/4 in a shut down role; the only problem is he isn't doing a very good job of it on the surface. Although if you really look at it, it seems most of the problem is his forwards aren't scoring. They generate but fail to capitalize.

Brodin off of Minnesota, Vatanen off of Jersey and in the guys who wouldn't trade with us category, I like DeMelo off of Ottawa, and I don't have a problem with Petry or Chiarot off of Montreal (although both have term and NTCs).

Perhaps Manson just needs a change of scenery and maybe that'll be the boost he needs to get back on his game. I'd be acceptable to a trade for him if the price was right.

Lindholm would be fantastic but I'm sure the asking price would be much higher and that is completely understandable.

Nylander will ensure Tkachuk gets payback.

Nylander will hold a house party while his parents are away, and invite everyone but Tkachuk, and then post tons of pictures on Snapchat so that Tkachuk knows he's missing the party of the year.

It's going to be so epic.

Id take Manson if they retained 50% of his contract, other then that I think its a large risk. Lindhom they may not want to trade, but by the time they get good again, hell be older, so might be the best time to trade him. Brodin I like.

Martinez to me is a maybe slightly better Cody Ceci that shoots left
the players like him that I dont watch I was playing around with the skatr comps and some NST data, and the common names out there like Dillion are pretty meh and not much of an upgrade.

I would be fine swapping out Marincin for Dillion if you want a little more grits but he is 3x the cap hit.

im with you, the list is pretty small. Petry, brodin, Lindholm.
Dubas probably trades for someone nobody was thinking about

Savard and Anderson, but I don't know if Kekalainen would trade them both to us for a package around Bozak, Gardiner and a 2nd rd pick.

I think that's exactly what he will do. No one saw the Barrie trade. I don't think we really saw the Muzzin trade either.

Domi has 2 less hits so far this season than Matthews?

Weird for someone who plays with an "edge".

I don't know why Leafs fans are so hard on Komarov.

I mean sure, he only has 9 points (1g, 8a), but hey, that's 50% better than Matt Martin's 6 points (3g, 3a).

I'm happy the leafs aren't giving out these types of contracts to depth players who had a couple good years.

that coleman character in nj is the next komarov.

scoring career high goals on poopbag team. lucky nonis isn't here; he probably would have traded a 1st for him after seeing him put 3 up against us.

if that's the case, we should give hiim 7.5M x 6 right now to make sure no one does.

It's too late for that, Nonis would have offered Florida a 1st and Sandin for Acciari already

Coleman is much better than Komarov. Has the speed in today's game to be effective and plays with heart. He would be a good addition for any team in my opinion but his next contract will be in the 4-5 million range probably so the Leafs should stay clear of that!

Regardless of the past, it's what got us to Nylander, Matthews, Marner and Tavares!
