But Timmins is such a genius...

Yes. Except if there's a great player that will come out of that second round then that was the guy he wanted to draft but the team traded the pick instead

Every team past up on him once...

How about the great picks that are Hillis and McShane? Those guys get no love because they were in fact picked by the Habs.... ?

On pace to better last year's number, well over a point per game.... as a matter of fact, he was the lowest picked player in history to have a better than a PPG average during his draft year in the OHL.... and let's no even get started on Hillis.... but who cares, those guys are gonna be busts, let's just go back to hanging off the Leafs's prospects nutsack

Funny thing is.... McShane and Robertson are tied as we speak with 43 points each, top 30 in the OHL.... but McShane is gonna suck and Robertson is the prospect the Habs let get away

Well over like 4?

A ppg for a 19-20 year old guy playing junior isn't very good.

Well, McShane is 2 years older and played 13 more games ...Robertson also has a pace over a goal per game. Gotta give him credit.

TBH I don't know who Robertson is but I know McShane won't amount to more than a third liner... in Laval.

True.... so a year and a half or so...

The point is, everyone is so quick to sh!t all over Habs prospects but are all lining up to drink the ball sweat off other team's prospects!

What about Hillis? Most likely an AHL plug too? If another team would have drafted him guys would be in here calling out the organization for passing up on him 4 times

nobody is poopting on our prospects, I was saying trading down when you need as many high end prospects as possible is not always the best scenario. I get they wanted more picks because the prospect pool was getting small but with the last few drafts where they accumulated a lot of picks, time to focus on quality vs quantity IMO

I think Fonstad, Hillis and McShane have a shot at the NHL...we'll have to see how they fare in the AHL first though.
