name 10
you need home runs
not sheary, vesey, frolik, miller, montour and johansson type guy
you need to find a way to add 2 or 3 impact players - homiedclown
You have to spend something to get something in return ....... botts nickel and diming teams works to a certain extent. But you aren’t getting another skinner or top 6 forward for cheap Or an impact player |

Couple of players who I haven't seen mentioned before that could be available:
From Spector's page:
"THE ATHLETIC: In a recent mailbag segment, Kevin Kurz was asked about the trade statuses of Sharks such as goalie Aaron Dell, defenseman Richard Simek, and forwards Marcus Sorensen and Kevin Labanc. He doubts there’s much of a market for a struggling goalie like Dell. He doesn’t think they’ll move Simek as they’ll need his physical style should they ship out Dillon at the deadline. Sorensen probably doesn’t have much trade value, but there could be some for Labanc despite the drop in his production."
Leblanc would be worth a look at depending on what they're asking for. 11g 14a in 49 games this year. He is a -22, but every player on the team is a minus player with the exception of a couple guys that are even and have played less than half the games.
Leblanc has 47g 94a 141pts in 263gms. He's 24, making $1m and will be an RFA. Has pretty good Corsi and Fenwick numbers. Could be the 2RW or 3RW were needing. |

Eww yeah. Subban has been terrible and his contract.
If they held onto some of his salary and you bank on him playing better? But I’m not so sure about that. I would’ve said no too |

I'm not so sure that the cost for JP is as high as it was earlier in the season. Edmonton is still fighting for a playoff spot after starting the season on a tear. Outside McDavid and Draisaitl they have almost no offense. If they could get some secondary scoring help they could be more likely to trade JP rather than trading a roster player or future picks. Problem is that they don't have a lot of wiggle room to take on salary. Perhaps Gagne (1g 7a) at $3.15m and JP for Sheary (7g 9a, 2x Cup winner) and a 2nd get it done?
Let's not forget that they don't always make the best trades. The last one was sending defenseman John Marino to Pittsburgh for a conditional 6th round pick. Marino has 4g 19a and is +12 in 46 games with the Pens this year. Not bad for a rookie. You would have thought Edmonton could use a dman of his ilk. |

Yeah, absolutely no on this one. Cap space wouldn't even allow it. Perhaps I would do it if we could then send PK back to Montreal for Weber. Or if we can add Okposo and Bogo to the original offer. |

If they ate half and he was only owed $4.5m for two more years I would actually consider it. At $4.5m you may be able to then deal him in a better. He was born and raised in Toronto. Would the Leafs deal Kapanen for PK at $4.5m? Perhaps. They don't have a lot of options on D at the moment or in the future for that matter. |
