It's close, Wayne at 0.601 GPG, while Ovi is at 0.611; exactly 1 percentage point higher.
Wayne played until age 38 and saw his production fall off a cliff (for him, lol) the last 3 years, and had a short season his 4th last (only played 18 games).
Ovi needs 203 more goals to pass him for total goals scored. He has 34 so far this season, pacing for 57 (13 more), which would leave him short by 190.
He then would need a 48 goal per season pace for 4 more years, that takes him to age 38 also to pass him...but can he keep that pace that long, considering injuries, slowing down. He has a very long track record of missing only 2 -3 games a year, or playing the full 82....one could say the odds will catch up to him.
Like I said, will be close depending on how long he plays for...if he plays long enough into his early 40's and stays close to that pace for 4 or 5 years more, he could blow by him by say 100+/- - IonSabres

He has them playing very competent hockey at both ends. He doesn't have the horses but he's doing pretty well with what he has. There are a few decisions I dont agree with, but overall, the structure is sound - jcragcrumple
Bogo playing over Miller is the only negative thing I have to say about Ralph this year.
We are a strong defensive team. |

Aside from not using Miller more, I have no issue with Ralph to this point. |

Devils offered
Subban and Wood for Miller and EROD............ That was a big NO from Botterill. - SABRES 89
I would like Wood but that's a negatory, plus it doesn't fit with the cap.
I wonder if this was Ray Shero offering it before he got fired.
Miller for Wood maybe? |

Great info.
Bossy will never live up to the legend Ric Seiling drafted by the Sabres 1 spot ahead of Bossy.
Who knew Tim Murray was running the draft back in '77 |

Meh, some of these are a bit over the top.
Dahlin, a Defenseman, needs to actually learn to play solid D.
Ullmark vs Hutton, which would you choose...me too.
Vesey is a 3rd line LW at best...and when Botts makes a trade for a 2C this offseason, Mojo takes that spot.

dahlin will learn more, with more ice time
they could easily call up a third goalie if they have no confidence in hutton, hell they have 3 in rochester now
players that score 17 goals a season for 3 years in a row in the nhl is anything but a 3rd liner at best
I have spoken |

Not sure if anyone mentioned this yet, but they've sent Pilut, Wilson, and Asplund back to Rochester during this break. |

He's on pace for his usual 30ish points. He just has a few more assists than goals this year. This is who he is |

Vesey has been used up and down the lineup due to injuries. At best. He’s a 3rd or 4th line guy and on the PK.
And I definitely believe the wild rumor that Hutton could be hurt. There is no other explanation why Ullmark is playing so much.
And bogo playing is a major eye sore. He’s so bad

Skinner doesn’t have a PP goal in his last 70 games.
Vesey is what he is at this point.
Hutton blows and he has no choice.
Dressing 7D gives us the best chance to win every night, just need to dress the best 7. |

Idgaf if we can't unload Bogo this year (I mean, realistically what are we going to get, a used tampon?), but if Ralph is serious about playing meaningful hockey heading into March, Bogo just cannot see the ice at all. He's atrocious. |

Slight, small disagreement as I prefer to see forwards actually play forward, like Asplund as a winger last night. |

I’d waive Bogo, sends a strong message to the rest of the league and he clearly has no trade value |
