I've actually been thinking he's refreshing compared to some of the ones I've listened to recently.
- Tojo.

He is second only to jack Edwards in terms of homerism. I cant stand that kind of broadcasting...even the pens broadcast can be annoying. It doesnt sell the game well...its amateur, rank and very pathetic.

Seems to me the collective pressure falls off when sid comes back and a slight relaxation of effort and focus took place. That first game was so easy with sid and geno taking over. Its prob just natural to ease off a bit...but that will kill this team. Defence and backup goaltending is not good enough for relaxed efforts.

Definitely too relaxed the last two games. Just like the B's last night....Heavy pressure at the blue lines.

Here's what I do if I'm Sullivan...

Kahun-Sid-Simon
Blueger-Geno-Rust
Galch-McCann-Horn
ZAR-Aggozino-Tanev

That third line is just ghostly. They need McCann back at C to help that line.

I've been waiting for that move for some time now.

Valid question. As you know MM's number will be very sensitive to term, and with Jarry some bridge would make sense... maybe GMJR can get both for ~8.5M still (MM 5.5, Jarry 3), which would mean slightly above ~10% of cap of which i would be more than ok with. When you compare Jarry to Binnington with the cup tax in mind, i think 3.x is realistic, and i wouldn't pay MM much more than 5.
- VeryModernMan

If they take Murray to arbitration, maybe he stays around 5. Tough to say. It would be better if they can decide in the off-season, but depending on how things play out they can take another year to evaluate if they want and are willing to not invest another 4M in a skater.

DeSmith has really struggled lately, but without watching I'm not sure if it's because the defense is pretty bad without Czuczman and Trotman.

The good news is they have time to figure it out WITH all the bodies coming back.

The Pens have dominated most of the game. They're sticking to their system and have only allowed six high danger chances. The problems right now is they're not being aggressive enough on offense and have only registered four high danger chances, so your assessment is off.

This is one of those games where they need to just get pucks and bodies on net.

Edwards is the worst homer I've ever heard in sports.

Yesterday you were trading Blueger, now he's in the second line.

This is why I make the case to hang on to Bjugstad until the off-season unless it's too good of a return to pass up. It would be nice to have another NHL center for flexibility and injury depth.

Its detroit...they better dominate...but they are losing by one against a team wbs can beat. It should be a pad the points night for a disciplined focused powerhouse like pitt. To me it's all about mental focus. They did all the hard work to earn all those points with sid out..its a big deal and the media is consistently reinforcing that. The brain and bodies seem to have treated sid returning as a finish line for the hard work and focus.

Your opinion is tenous. Basing their play on what you think is going on in their minds? Come on.

Ppl do that all the time. Next time someone makes a stupid play everyone will question what was in their head. Of course none of us KNOW an effing thing about playing in the nhl.

People do that all the time so it makes it right? Dude, at least formulate an opinion based on something tangible.

What I've seen is more than a few instances of differing to sid in situations that shouldnt happen. I guess I should have taped the last three games to provide evidence for everything..my bad. I'm not the only one to suggest they might take to foot off the pedal when sid comes back...

Yes, that's what I suggested. Asking you provide an opinion based on real evidence rather than thinking what's going on in people's mind clearly means I think you should do what you just suggested.
