I honestly do not mind this take. I am also with Vandy on Highmore.

I know vandy is very frustrated at the changes in the game, but I really hope he remains a devout Hawks and hockey fan, because I honestly do think this poster knows the sport very well, even if he's a bit obsessed with the rough stuff.

Thank you. I got into the game in the late 90s I was born in 87 and my grandpa played minor league hockey in the 60s and was a tough guy. That's the kind of hockey I grew up playing and watching. Todays hockey can be a chore. The thing I miss most was the anticipation that at any moment poop could go down. Now you look at rosters and the coaches are the toughest guys on the team. I'd take brookbank over anyone on the hawks current roster.

Anytime Vandy. Like I said I love your takes, because almost no one is promoting it and I love hearing views I may not necessarily agree with. Yea, I make a bit light of it, but I get where you are coming from. And I grew up on ... you guessed Bob Probert (but why did I like Probie? He could kick your ass ,but he could also play!!). I remember the donnybrooks from the late 80s and early 90s. Yea man it WAS (frank)ing fun. I get it. But I also see the changes happening and I've watched hockey on European ice where the speed and skill is accentuated and I get that too.

I’m impressed with Boqvist’s defensive play. He’s usually in good position, he uses his stick well and he wins puck battles

He controls the puck, and he’s 18. Gonna be a monster at 20. Bigger, faster, stronger.
