Well to be fair. Some terrible GM's went and made these trades happen. So hope was created.

Roy for Thibault, Rucinsky and Kovalenko?

Joe Thornton for Sturm, Wayne Primeau and Brad Stuart?

Holy (frank).

- Scabeh

God bless Bruins fans.

They ran Thornton out of town for having one bad playoff series - which he played with a separated shoulder.

that's only according to Darren Dreger... Kapanen + for Georgiev is not a good trade for us.
- PatC80

At the surprise of nobody, Dreger is (frank)ed.

Cue the Nurse for Bracco talk

Hell yeah!

On a serious note, would Larsson make sense for a trade?

why is it so difficult just to trade Kapanen for Georgiev giving the Leafs a reliable backup goalie who absolutely could be a #1 in this league which also creates room to finally bring Bracco up.

So you are saying you think Bracco could play in the NHL and make meaningful contributions?

OK then, Georgiev for Bracco.

kapanen's speed is a great asset. teams need to be aware when he's out there and be less aggressive.

Because we don’t want to trade a 50 point player that could possible be a 60-65 point player that has super speed and kills penalties for a backup.

It’s pretty reasonable.

hey, if you feel comfortable with Andersen going down and throwing Hutchinson out there against the likes of Kucherov, Pastrnak and Ovechkin in April and May be my guest

Meh. I want Nurse. He has a real nasty edge to him. Especially in front of the net. Andersen wants Nurse.

It's always a bit frightening when I'm at Leafs games and they honour a Canadian Armed Forces member - and I think, "Wow, I could beat the crap out of that guy/gal."

Like, aren't they supposed to be paid to kill people and wreck property?

It looks like they only thing they could kill is the buffet and the only thing they could wreck is the bathroom after the buffet.

If Bracco is so good and the Leafs pretty weak on D, why isn't he with the Leafs instead of the marlies? Why are Marincin and Ceci in front of him on the depth chart?

Being a winger is probably a small part of the reasoning, I would guess.

Adam Brooks? Duzsak? 2nd round pick? Pick something.

I have this feeling that Dubas won't move anyone off the roster for the back up position.
