Georgiev is more than just a "backup" - he's a 23 year old who has the potential to be a stud. If Hank didn't have an NMC the Rags would be keeping Georgiev as their starter until - and if - Shestyorkin is ready to take the reins whilst giving Lundqvist the boot.
Johnsson? Meh... He's a middling winger who has likely reached the peak of his potential. - mjones242
No, Georgiev is a backup. A backup with potential is still a backup. |

I actually feel pretty much the same way - and more to the point - the Leafs do have some guys who could pretty much step in a do what Johnsson does - just like they did when he was out injured.
Johnsson, Bracco and Dermott
Nurse, Kassian and Puljujarvi
if the Leafs acquire Nurse, they would have Rielly, Muzzin, Nurse and Sandin as LHD.. in the short term - hence Dermott is expendable.
I would love to see Tavares playing with Nylander and Kassian. |

Do you know how many back ups have been exactly that? Tokarski had quite the run with the Habs. Hamburglar had a ridic run and did nothing. I can go on...

Nice to see someone get how the Rangers' goalie situation actually is. This is pretty much spot on! |

Yup.
He's on the small side. Not sure had can handle a starter's workload. Last couple rags goalies traded having exactly worked out.
Raanta has been great in AZ, but is always on the IR.
Talbot has been an overall disapointment.
Buyer beware on an unproven starter. |

I would be OK if the Leafs picked him up for the Marlies. If he wants to live in Toronto instead of Syracuse, go for it. I always liked him.
But hell no to the big club. - Atomic Wedgie
Agreed to an extent.
The extent is that he has to be of more use than Marincin. |

Sure.
But only if you think the race out west for the division title and both wild card spots is like a fight between a litter of toothless & neutered pug puppies. |

Amazing how retarded this site is about that innocent gif. All kinds of weird and sick poop being posted, but that funny/clever gif is just too much... - 21peter
Insane. Like, it's Skittles. Have you seen the actual video for it? It's amazing.
I think the stupidest part about my ban, besides the fact that it was for a harmless and funny gif, is that it took almost 2 days after I graced the thread with it, to get banned. So (frank)ing dumb. |
