Again, JetsD that’s exactly what I said right, lol
Don’t trade 4th round picks, their gold Jerry, Gold!!! Lol
Actually I agreed with ultimate the other day to take a chance on Namestnikov and trade a late pick for him.
But I guess you were off that day - Ross77
Namestnikov would've been a good addition, he's one of the minor trades I was talking about that Chevy should've made, not a world beater but far better then what we're presently rolling out in the bottom 6. |

It’s not the like The Sun or Free Press did a fully story 5 or 6 years ago when Spezza turned down a trade here, or when Elliot Friedman says “I think on top of Calgary Winnipeg was also told Kadri wouldn’t accept a trade there”
That I can just go hey google
And poof they appear ready to cut and paste for you.
The internet is great and all but its not like it’s easy to just find these in print. Maybe I just pay attention more than you and you should believe me. - Ross77
When Spezza got traded from Ottawa he had all the Canadian teams on his no trade list due to being annoyed by Canadian media. Nothing to do with Winnipeg. Kadri did the exact same thing based on the same reason. Again nothing to do with Winnipeg.
No one mentions that Justin Faulk had Anaheim on his no trade list while Winnipeg was not on it. You also have to remember that Phil Kessel had a no trade list to all Canadian markets except for Winnipeg. Explain those. |

You like the Faulk contract? Seriously?
How can you say a player has all Canadian teams on their list so it has nothing to do with Winnipeg? Is Winnipeg not in Canada? Did I miss that memo? Does this not make it harder for Chevy to acquire players if we are on their list? And why would you want Kessell now? |

Most of these lists are completed by player agents. It’s a monkey see, monkey do league. When players get here, many het no movement clauses. Explain that! You would think if Winnipeg is the worst place in the league to play that no one would get a NMC when they sign with Winnipeg as they would want to play anywhere but here. |

I guess you missed the part about Canadian media in my post. And I would love to have Kessel, he and Wheeler are best friends. |

I just don't get the debates on here, who is saying the Jets need to trade for star players with no trade clauses?? lol
There's plenty of good players that don't have trade protection, it's possible to trade for some of them.
Like I get that Winnipeg is a team that has a lot working against it but there's plenty of guys out there that have no way to veto a trade, those are the players to acquire, build a winner and lots of guys will want to play for the Winnipeg Jets. |

We discussed this already, all good players get no trade or no move deals to control where they go if their team decides to trade them, all players, all teams!! Players may also not want to go to Ottawa or Columbus or who knows but if you honestly can’t see the disadvantage Chevy has here in Winnipeg I can’t help you. And like you just said “if we get them here”. They have to agree to come here first!!

Again,
It takes two teams to make a trade. We have no way of knowing who or how many players Chevy has tried to trade for where the other team said no, or said, sure we will take sheifele or Morrisey for them.
If the reports of Dallas wanting a 3rd rounder for Honka were true we should have given that up but again who knows maybe they didn’t want to trade him in the division ?? |

What about Nashville? They never give out NMC. It was a huge deal when Josi got one this past offseason. |

JetFuel, you have been a a major breath of fresh air on this board. I am so glad you decided to start posting. |

Ultimate,
Your turn,
Show me the proof Chevy doesn’t try to make trades or sign people, you must be able to find plenty of articles |

Are you arguing that it’s rare except in Winnipeg? - Ross77
This is great neither Eichel or Barkov have NMC’s. Both can be had for the right deal.
Good job Ross!!!
Edit: we can also get McDavid, Draisaitl, Monahan. |

Look at his record for the past 9 years. His behaviour says it all. |

That's very possible, Dallas might not want to trade within the division or conference, so make a trade with someone on the eastern conference or play dirty like Vegas did during the 2018 TDL and use another team to help facilitate a trade to get a player you want. |

So true Jetfuel.
People on this board have this delusion that Chevy has this impossible task to improve this team and look for any excuse on why it can't happen. |

Blackhawks got Kubalik from the Kings for a 5th round pick. Wonder if Chevy could pull of a deal like that! |

No way man, trading a 5th rounder is mortgaging the future, the Jets need ALL their draft picks cause they're a "draft and develop" organization. ... Lol |
|
|
|
Ouch! Well, Kane got his 1000th point, that's exciting!
This is the second back to back team to beat the Jets without much fight. The Jets look like they played 5 games in a row. Not much fight left in this team unfortuneatley,..... dropping games on supposed tired teams like this suggests there are big problems.

You should at least apologize for the negative comments that you made about the players that Chevy assembled before you go. |

Just to keep this going, in the last three years Chevy has traded 2 first round picks, 2- 4th, 6th and 3 - 7th round picks.
I’m not sure of the averages but I’d say trading away 8 draft picks in 3 years doesn’t exactly go along with what you guys are saying. |

You are going to miss out on the firing of Maurice after the Jets lose the Carolina, Columbus games this week. |
