Murray was fired because he didn't have a plan B.
- Powerslave

He didn’t need a plan B, because his original was an abortion in itself

the one thing the sabres have to get this off season is at the very least

a proven third line center with second line upside

if casey and cozens struggle, as a center, you can't throw away the season like this one

convert a center to the wing if needed, but please no more wingers as a middle 6 center

I like how we've all adjusted our expectations with this GM

"Listen, we all know you can't/won't do the thing we need, but can you kind of do it?!?!?"

Expansion draft is gonna kill us. Gonna lose one of Risto, Montour or Jokihauru (sp). Now watch him trade Risto for scraps and hear people say “that’s all he could get, teams knew he had to trade a D.” Another waste of assets trading for Miller too

I am baffled that any fan of this team can realistically expect us to make the playoffs.

8 pts out of 8th place at the all-star break.

This season is over.

Nope my crystal ball doesn't have us losing anyone and getting a haul at the deadline for risto. I must have the optimist version and you the pessimist version.

It's pretty far in the future to worry about it, but I think the lesson from the Vegas draft is that you get in trouble making deals with the expansion team. Just let them choose someone. Protecting Ullmark for a 5th was good, but Minnesota got in trouble as did some others. An otherwise good GM (Chuck Fletcher) got himself in trouble that way

I'm listening to WGR and they're talking about how the alumni jerseys are misspelled, and the team has the flaws we all knew they had 18 months ago, and it's just like: does anyone give a poop? I mean seriously is there anyone there who cares? And furthermore why do I care?

I dont mean to have an existential sabres crisis because I know sports dont really matter, but isnt it the team's responsibility to give the illusion it does matter?

Why are fans tasked with being the torch bearers when the team sucks and there's seemingly no accountability for their continual sucktasticness? And even to make a good night for the alumni it's seemingly unimportant. It's just...

What the (frank) is this team doing?

Yeah man, Terry is honestly trash.

He got very, very good advice in college and invested in an industry that had a 10 year boon, made his money, bought a hocksy team and a football team for his wife and he ran the hockey team into the ground being an incompetent, senile moron that is moderately on the spectrum while his wife turns the Bills into a respectable franchise once again.

Terry Pegula absolutely demolished the Sabres franchise. He has damaged it's image and turned us into a combine poop hole.

I'm not trying to sound like a jerk here, but when do you think he will have the ability to prove it?

Is it next year?
Two years?

Waiting is the hardest part. We have been out of the playoff picture for nearly 10 years. Would it be better to admit that Casey is likely better suited as an NHL winger?

Tough to predict
Many here thought Mitts would be a stud right away, which i warned against
But he’s got tons of talent
And i still think he can become a good player for us

he needs a plan B if cozens and casey are not ready to be a center

it's fine if they play on the wings, but they are super talented and both need to be contributing in the fall, and at least 40 point players

we can't sacrifice another season w/o playoffs in spring of 2021
