I think he was humbled real quick.
I can’t imagine ones confidence being high when he was getting healthy scratched and not putting up the high numbers he was consistently putting up his entire career before reaching the NHL. - Pegullaville
Clearly u never played slow pitch softball. Dudes not getting a hit in three games would be coming back to the bench saying they just missed it after flying out to LC for the 3rd time. |

I say keep in down in the A for the rest of the year. He might get some playoff experience there.
Heck, who knows? He might even take this offseason’s conditioning seriously and show up ready to take an nhl roster spot. I wasn’t really kidding about him playing C for the Sabres if he’s willing to put some effort in. He’d be more cost effective than bringing in some retread, and let’s face it, this team is not competing for the Cup next year anyway.

Can we convince Stevie Y to give us Zadina ? - Pegullaville
Doubt it. Why would they? |

Disagree. He only just started working hard and succeeding down there. Hasn’t yet earned that participation trophy.
And this team doesn’t need a spark. Like Randolph and Mortimer Duke said, “sell! sell! sell!” |

Hey man. What Botts calls you up, you do what he says; out of fear, respect, and sheer awe. |

He’d cost more than a 2nd and 5th so we can rule him out already |

Detroit has scouted is a lot this year, Tampa had an interest in Risto while Yzerman was there.
Perhaps there is a deal to be made. Just day dreaming here though. |

I think Mantha in a Risto deal would be more likely but I even doubt that.

I would assume he’s down in Rochester for the rest of this year as well but at the end of the day who knows with this regime.
I think we make a move for a veteran even if it’s a small move. I think Mitts ends up on the wing at the NHL level imo, however his slick playmaking ability could be great for guys like Cozens, Olofsson, and Skinner once fully developed.

Tough to picture any deal between the Sabres and Wings, unless we’re picking up their trash. Division rivals. Similar developmental stages. |

I’m thinking Zadina as he is younger and would be protected from Seattle.
It’s a pipe dream though. |

I could see Casey with Skinner. That makes a lot of sense. But you can’t take Viktor away from Jack, right?!
Cozens. Cozens is very exciting to think about. Which leads me to believe I’m setting myself up for MASSIVE disappointment...but I don’t think I am. |

The Botts does nothing 2020-2021 roster:
Olofsson-Eichel-Cozens
Skinner-Larsson-Reinhart
Mojo-Mitts-Okposo
Thompson-Asplund-Lazar
Dahlin-Montour
Pilut-Risto
McCabe-Joker

Looks about right. Assuming Hutton/Ullmark between the pipes, and no major injury to Jack, that might be good for 88 points. Progress. |

If Botts is reluctant to move Risto/Montour I’d assume Miller will be out the door. |

the one thing the sabres have to get this off season is at the very least
a proven third line center with second line upside
if casey and cozens struggle, as a center, you can't throw away the season like this one
convert a center to the wing if needed, but please no more wingers as a middle 6 center - homiedclown
I think they need 2 centers next year and plan on neither of Mittelstadt or Cozens being ready to play a critical center position.
Botterill's biggest mark against is he had no veteran center support for Mittelstadt this year. Big mistake, and he cannot possibly make that mistake again heading into next year. |
