I didn't get to come by these parts because I went out of town and unplugged from the real world, but I was able to watch the Reinhart to Vesey goal happen right in front of me. It was pretty incredible.
The team needs to work on actually making a pass to maintain possession, at least in Dallas it was very apparent.
I didn't catch any of the Nashville game, but hopefully this break brings a new piece to the team and Skinner and Olofsson are not far behind. - thatsapickle
I was at the Nashville game saturday... That pass from Dahlin was incredible.
The rest of the game was sloppy as (frank). |

Sounds about right.
I was surprised when I got the 1-0 update, then wasn't when it was a 2-1 final.
I did like Garth's tweet about Johanson, or Forsberg for Bogo, ERod, and a pick. |

My buddy went to the game with a bunch of people and saw Jack, Sam, and Bogo on Broadway after the game. |

I wonder if the Sabres stayed an extra night due to the dads trip?
Either way it doesn’t matter. They are on vacation for 10 days |

Day 900:
Trades are hard - jcragcrumple
I was under the distinct impression they aren't difficult to make due to the fact that you can trade your crap for someone's elite and make everything better in one fell swoop.
Maybe I am wrong......................... |

The amount of time the scandella / frolik team took was insane. That rumor started in October. I mean really a 4th round pick takes that long |

Maybe not, anymore anyways. Chiarelli ain't there anymore and Shero is now gone too...leaving Bowman in hot demand. |

Admittedly, trade season is slow until late January, but here are a couple smart trades that could have helped the Sabres...didn't cost much either.
Detroit, on pace for one of the worst records in recent history with a projected 43 pts, managed to pull off a smart deal with the reigning SC Champions for RW Robbi Fabbri. He is producing at a 0.69 ppg clip since joining said last place team. The cost, a 25 yo forward who had heart surgery earlier in the year, lol.
Not that we need a 2RW or even 3RW though....but honestly, I just think Botts has Army's phone number blocked, which makes total sense.
Ottawa, 4th last in the league, traded for Namestikov utilizing a former 7th rounder AHL RIGHT HAND Defenseman. Namesitkov is playing LW and producing at 0.50 ppg pace...he formerly played C for Tampa for 3-1/2 years.
That is some hot garbage going the other way.
Next, I'm sure I'll hear teams never move 2C's, lol. |

Neither of those players move the needle in any way, shape or form. They are producing at slightly higher rates because they are getting significantly more ice time on teams that give it to them because they have no other choice. While their personal stats increased at an insignificant level, their impact on the win column hasn't even been negligible. It's been zero. The Sabres also made a trade like that when they acquired Frolik. |

50-55 pt RW does nothing? You lost me there.
Namesnitkov at 3C producing 41 Pts does nothing?
I suppose a 50-55 pt Gally would do nothing either.
...
Well, except help a team absolutely dying for secondary scoring.
Frolik plays a good game for a 4th liner at 20 pts is not in the same universe production wise.
C'mon man.
