quality prospect that will become second-tier players at best, with the exception of Caufield maybe

What's the point of living in the past? Those past failures are indicative of what's to come??
- obie

Is it the same group developing the young players? why do you expect a different outcome. Kotkeniemi playing in the nhl at 18 getting 10 minutes of ice time. Why was he not in finland getting 20 and playing top pp time? Just poop like that makes it hard to trust the group handling these kids

Pretty sure they've added lots if quality prospects in the last 24 months
- obie

We'll see ... on the positive side it won't be Lefebvre in charge of developing them.

They should have fired that incompetent buffoon YEARS before they actually did last year.

it will take a few years to see the impact of the last 2-3 drafts and the next one, the problem with the reset while trying to stay competitive is they still miss the playoffs every year and don't get to add the quality of prospects they could with a real rebuilding process. Molson is buying this strategy...that's all that matters to MB
- Symba007

Trade everyone over 24 not named Gallagher or Danault.

Yeah, wouldn't buy an album of theirs that's for sure. They have a couple good tunes and that's about it.

I'm not ready to blame Cloooode at this point, the guy's job is to try winning with a team full of holes.

Not sure anyone could have done better this year with all the injuries and a "bubble team" lineup at best.

MB seems to play Montreal like a fiddle. For every fail, he pulls a good trade/signing out of his ass to make us forget the rest of the garbage.
