Please take one moment to imagine how this Leafs team would fare in the Norris division.

Probert vs. Nylander.

McRae vs. Dermott.

Twist vs. Dubas.

- Atomic Wedgie

Dani Probert...but I bet Willy still loses.

Great effort again tonight 👍

My 3 stars were:

Hyman
Benn
Muzzin

Marner had me worried at the end😡

- mr.sir

Hyman was fantastic! For the most part I was happy with most of the team, but Hyman really stood out.

Edit: Actually, if I think about it, I was pretty irritated with Tavares and Kerfoot. Neither one seemed to be very effective.

Most of the team looked good

Keplunk had a bad giveway at the blueline that turned into a goal.

Holl gave one away right in front of the net

Sandin got pushed around. I hope the plan is not to let him be fodder for the brewns 4th line in the playoffs.

So does this blog prove that Friedman reads hockeybuzz?

Wasn't the gull suggesting we pick up Dumba for a few weeks now?

I see Perimeter Willy is still doing Perimeter Willy things, like scoring from in close to the net.
What a year he's having!

Great to see another win. If we can just go on another little winning streak we can hopefully get back into a playoff spot. Very close.

You mean he took an enormous hit by 230lb Jamie Benn and kept the puck and kept moving like nothing happend? Or do you mean the dirty uncalled hit from behind that plug Blake Comeau made? Kid is unflappable, can't remember the last time a rookie defenseman on the Leafs looked this good. It was nice to see Leafs give Comeau a rough ride - including Matthews after that play. The fact that only Ceci was called for a penalty was ridiculous.

Did we just become best friends??

Seriously I like that scenario. . .

I like Foligno but what would it take to get Kreider and what we have to do to make room for him going forward past this season.

Maybe

Barry for a 1st

Ceci and Johnson for Dumba

Dermont and 2nd for Manson

1st, Bracco, Hutchinson and roster player (Maybe the goat?) for Kreider and Georgiev. . .

We definitely need D but I think Georgiev would be an awesome back up and maybe eventually take over the number 1!

Am I dreaming???

Refs are warming up for the brewns series.

Comeau pushed him around.my only knock on sandin is he needs to add strength.

He's not strong enough for the nhl yet.

Brewns 4th liners will be salivating watching this game tape.

Surprise he did not get a slashing call on the Stars 1st goal.

Does anyone look at the cap hits? Cant bring in Manson and Dumba because cant afford them. Dumba would be great and he would set a salary for Reilly in the future. I would like to see the following defense going into the playoffs:

Reilly-Dumba
Muzzen-Holl
Sandin-Dermott
Marincin-Liljgren

To get Dumba you probably need a 1st round pick but Barrie could get the Wild that pick at the deadline. In addition one of Kerfoot, Johnson or Kapenin (I prefer it is Kerfoot that goes), one of the young d prospects still in junior, and Ceci.

That leaves Bracco to go for a new back up. I would go to Pittsburg for Casey DeSmith. Bracco, Hutchinson, and a late pick should get him.

This leaves you with the following going into the play-offs:

Hyman-Matthews-Marner
Johnsson-Taveres-Nylander
Moore-Engvall-Kapenin
Marchment-Goat-Spezza
Mickayluk (if he is ready)-Timoshov

Freddy-DeSmith

Not a bad line-up for the playoffs.

Dumba from everything I look at would not be great.
His comparable is pretty much Barrie

not great defensively and needs a bit of sheltering.

Manson looks like what the Leafs need, pretty much all D and not much offense

Agreed. I'd much rather see the Leafs go after Manson than Dumba.

I like Manson more and think he'd be better for the Leafs and also cost less since Dumba is pretty overrated.

Hockey logic:

We played a certain way for 50 minutes to build up a two-goal lead and dominate play.

So for the last 10 minutes, we should stop doing that!

Also, dumba has fallen off a lot this season. Last year he was pretty good. but not so much now. thats a concern for a 6 mil 4

Manson is a safer bet, cheaper. more in line with the Stay at home thing fans are asking for

Maybe the Leafs should have been patient and brought him up next year? Just don’t want a guy like that to get hurt. It’s one thing to be a young forward, its another to be a young smallish d-man and having guys run you into the boards... Plus you don’t burn a year of his contract...

The difference is one is clearly available and the other might not be.
