I know, you're right. It's funny because the section of Leafs Twitter that hates Nylander was giving credit to everyone but Willy on his goal.

I thought he played well also.

Still hate him at 4.5m though
But its only for 1 year

- Fakepartofme

Unless they re-sign him 🤔

I'm sure Muzzin is their top priority though which is a good thing.

That’s cool, I just disagree and gave you video evidence as to why I disagree.

Has a 1 year old, big contract here to pretty much choose where he’s going to raise his kid.

Canada all the way

Two really bad plays. One that resulted in a goal.

Much more than you have provided me.

Would you guys give him an extra year to bring the cap down?

If an extra year brings a 5 million cap hit to a 4.7 do you do it ?

Nylander's 27th in scoring. If he maintains being around there, then I don't give a (frank) if he looks like a homeless douchebag and is soft as slime.

41 points in his last 40 games

Quick question. How many games of scoring a PPG can we say it’s not a hot streak and he’s just a line driving player?

- Santo_44

1 game.

Once he's traded to another team.

As a 3rd pairing D you can’t make glaring mistakes like that. It results in the back of the net.

If you are fine with that type of play then cool, I’m not.

I sincerely hope Nylander goes bald on top, and soon. We need a new phil kessel on the team.

isn't that why they are on the 3rd pair to begin with?

Already stated this.

Ceci doesn’t proved anything offensively so when he makes glaring mistakes like that he costs the team.

Everyone makes mistakes, but they’re only memorable if the end up in the back of the net. Either way overall I thought he was good.

Marner on Ceci: "Played a great defensive game, blocking a lot of shots, PK was huge for us & that six-on-five there at the end, I think he was on for that whole minute & a half or whatever it was & did a great job keeping them out of the middle"

Keefe on Ceci: "He really competes. He's very strong around the net, below the goal line. He battles & comes up with those loose pucks which are so important when the game is on the line ... his teammates recognize it. That's why he got the game ball tonight"
