Not using the talent was the issue do you not see that? It's easy to adjust to a Babcock Leafs team with all the stars playing less than they should, a deadly PP taken off after 40 seconds and opposition dictating how much and when our stars play due to line-matching obsession.
The Leafs had talent never that wasn't utilized.
Keep in mind as well Keefe has a what, 19-7-3 record with really bad goaltending. - RogerRoeper
Friedman showed the lines before or after (can’t remember) the 1st goal during the intermission.
The lines went something along these lines.

It's kind of any important game with the 4 point swing.
First step is to destroy the Sens on Saturday and bank those 2 points |

I really don't agree. What's the massive chasm between him and Kadri, that made Kadri's deal so fantastic, but Coyle's poop? .12pts a game?
Or are we going to discuss intangibles. - RickJames77
RJ, coyle was good, 4 years ago he'll be lucky to break 20 goals in a season ever again, 15 even.
now lets hug it out |

Oh yes, I see it. Babs screwed up usage for sure. Goat, Marleau, etc...Would it have made any difference last playoffs? Maybe. I recall us blowing game 6 but was it from usage? I recall freddy not being able to stop the puck in game 7? I do recall a few brutal defensive plays by guys like Nylander, how can you play guys when they do that in big games?
I am just not getting too excited yet. The last 2 games before the break they looked brutal. These last 2 games they have looked good. Just very inconsistent... |

Have you ever said to a zealot, "Yeah, but you know, maybe he didn't have to drown everyone on Earth and just save like 4 people and a boat full of animals?"
That never gets you anywhere either. |

Now do bottom 6 on all those teams....Boston and Tampa are spending significantly more $ for less production.
People only care about "Stars" cap hits, but it's the bottom 6 that's a killer.
If Leafs had Keefe all year they'd be ahead of Boston and Tampa.
BTW, how's that 10 million per for Babrovsky looking for Florida? They could get a 3 million per goalie with better numbers. Did you know Florida has no state taxes? - RogerRoeper
That's all we heard when the Leafs courted Stamkos. |

He's better than his reputation, in my estimation.
Still a meh player though and will probably play somewhere else next year |

There's a reason why all our stars' production is way up, more usage and smarter usage.
Keefe is getting results from just doing what any coach would do with this great lineup. - RogerRoeper
play his horse a little more Haven't seen much of the 4th line on the ice lately or I totally miss when they are on the ice. You know distractions. |

He’s a 1-1.5 million dollar defenceman. He got his money by tricking people but he won’t be getting overpaid anytime soon. |
