The restraint from blasting JJ in this article was impressive.

Kovalchuk would have been a nice powerplay boost...

but at the same time, I understand why are hell-bent on only bringing in the right guys to play within the system. Kovalchuk, in hindsight looks like a missed opportunity for a quick-fix, but if GMJR can pull off acquiring the right winger (or two) there won't be any reason to be upset about Kovalchuk.

Gonna say it again... Missing Guentz and Dumo keeps getting more and more obvious every game.

Ugh. My tix were $267 each after all the taxes and fees ... section 214 Row G. I am going to Pitt for the Pens-Sabres game ... Lexus level 2 tix for $180.

Power Play sucks big time ... went 0 for 7 against the Caps. Could have put the game away earlier if cashed in on one or two of the opps.

Honestly I don’t mind the 300 level in Tampa. I like watching the plays develop and I watched over 300 games from the 200 level when I worked there. There’s not really a bad seat in the house.

It was my kid's first game, so I splurged. Although he is a Caps fan ... UGH. Where did I go wrong?

I pay about 800 for two tickets in Calgary and usually about 1000 in Edmonton.

Easy to control the play when you can charge at players the whole game.

Anybody else wonder why Ryan hasn’t said one word about Penguins getting out played 5 of 6 periods against Flyers?

More of an advanced stats person than actually watching. I swear some of these bloggers don’t watch anything other than the highlights and just look at stats afterwards.

The Stars tickets are cheap so I paid $115 to be in the lower bowl behind the sin bin. Usually I get $30 tickets for non Pens games because they rarely sell out.

The advanced stats would tell the same story...the Pens were outplayed that much by the Flyers. Without looking into it at all and going strictly by eye test, I'd wager the Pens have been outplayed alot more periods than they've outplayed the opposition since JJ went to 1st pair, Jake was lost and now with Kahun outta top 6/lineup as well. They're not nearly as convincing to me in these wins as they were earlier in season.

So any bets on if JMJR has called Byfuglien to work something out? Especially after the caps threw us around yesterday. Honestly I don’t think he has anything left but that would be funny as hell.

I agree. When Sid was out I remember us losing when we should of won a few games. Now it’s the other way around seemingly every game against a decent opponent.

Remember that Byfuglien can play winger, too. I'm sure he's better than Angello or Agozzino on the 4th line. Decent defensive depth. Would love to see him ragdoll Wilson like Reaves and Guds used to do.

Aren't they terminating his contract because he can't physically play? Am I missing something?

He's asked to be bought out however, reports are that at least 16 teams are interested in him. He supposedly refuses to play in Canada too.

Interesting...he's a big guy I wonder if he's kept any conditioning going.
