Bellows has far exceeded my expectations. Aside from shooting/nose for the goal, he’s got sneaky speed, reads the play well, and not a D liability. Small sample but man what a pleasant addition thus far. |

He shoots and finished checks and isnt afraid to go to the net. D zone will take time to determine |

Agree, but the knock on here was D zone and speed and so far he’s held his own. |

Defensive coverage is taught. He'll learn more as he plays. |

I don't disagree but I think the reason he wasnt called up sooner is his defensive zone play. Not that it's bad bit the isles system is predicated on it and they didnt want to bring in a liability. Now with that said they weren't scoring and the 3rd line was so bad previously that what could it hurt? So far they have had jump and carried the play a bit more woth him out there, if they can have three lines that can score they will be much more dynamic |

He really struggled the first couple months down at BP. He came on in December and January really elevating his game by scoring consistently.
When the big club needs scoring and he scoring like he was down there he earned a call up.
The first 2 games he obviously is making a case to stay. Tonight in the 3rd after the Isles had the lead Trotz kept throwing the 3rd line out there, showing me he had faith in their d zone play.
He hasn’t had that in a while now.
With the 3rd line scoring and playing well defensively Trotz can roll all four lines which is huge in the POs and down the streatch. |

Oh yea my opinion but 7 games in 11 days was hard enough add to that the need to play a short bench and they had to be worn out. This will definitely allow them to be fresher down the stretch assuming he can play well and not be a liability. Love that hes a shoot first guy, need more of that |

Agreed.
As long as the shot is there and not forced, let it go towards the net. We need more of that. |

Nobody said they were bad just not tight defensively. Two of the three goals against were give aways right in front of their net which there seems to be a lot of lately. Greiss saved their asses a few other times last night. If they want to be successful down the stretch they need to tighten it up the way they did earlier in the season. That was one of if not the worst teams in the league last night if we played like that against Tampa we would’ve most likely paid for it.
They did have some good moments where they buttoned it up again not saying they played bad but they’re certainly not as consistently tight defensively as they were for a while now. They came back and won which ultimately is what matters but they have to get back to not putting themselves in that position to begin with. |

It was hard to watch my buddy was here we about killed a 30 rack during the game
I dont like watching games at bars or with people I end up missing most of the game bullpoopting. Hell the old lady even put half a bottle of wine down herself, thought I was set for drunk sex but she passed out putting a kid to bed |

Was Bellows as good as the score sheet suggests? He sure looked good on the highlights. |

He played well, yea. Two ES goals in 11:16 TOI was impressive. Hope he keeps it up because his game would be a welcome addition to this lineup. |
