Sounds good to me. Would a deal around Bailey and Wilde make any sense? - ses111
Probably not. I think the chances of actually getting him are pretty low, but if there were ever a deal to make with Leddy as the centerpiece...something like that would be worth it. I still don't think he gets traded, FWIW, but that's the kind of trade I'd be all for using him in if the option were on the table. |

I did not think my deal would work. Just love the idea of moving Bailey in a package. I would move Leddy for Strome. I agree I doubt he gets moved. Would be very nice if Lou can make an under the radar move or two at the deadline that maybe does not get a lot of attention but really helps the team. |

Wouldn't be surprised to see him end up in Toronto as a rental, honestly - eichiefs9
I said a few weeks ago that’s where I see him ending up. |

When we get Lehner maybe we could try and sign him for a couple hundred grand a year and give him an hour to take it or leave the offer. 😂
What a ridiculous situation to be in. Had a great goalie and didn’t lock him up. Thank God we have Lee for the next seven years😂 |

I'd much rather talk about how we're going to acquire Dylan Strome - eichiefs9
Now that’s worth discussing. |

A Couple of hundred grand? I like it. You know my feeling giving Lee 7 years. |

I don't know if you saw the snippet from the Hawks beat writer I posted yesterday, but if they're actually considering moving him that's the exact type of player the Isles should be all over. As far as rookies/prospects go, I'd move anyone not named Dobson. 23yo, 81pts in 100GP over the last two seasons. Four more years of cost-control. |

I meant the Greiss for Lehner trade IF the hawks decide to sell and IF they are not planning on resigning Lehner. A cheaper goalie for the rest of the season and a pick. |

They can do better elsewhere. He'd be the best goaltender available at the deadline by a country mile. Greiss' value in that deal is nothing and if they can't do better than netting a mid-round pick for Lehner than I'd be surprised. We paid Chad Johnson and a 3rd for Michael Neuvirth a few years ago. |

poop on Bailey all you want (I do it too), but he’s still one of this teams top scorers. And he’s affordable (for the Islanders).
If Chicago moves Strome it’ll be for cap reasons only. Due to that, I don’t think they’d have interest in Leddy, past history or not.
I’m thinking Chicago would rather have someone like Mayfield (very affordable) and a high end prospect. Probably Wahlstrom.
Would you guys be comfortable shipping out Mayfield and Wahlstrom for Strome? Would Aho be capable of replacing Mayfield? |

As far as I know, Aho plays strictly LD. Making that trade would essentially be giving Dobson a full-time job on the right side and, honestly, yeah I think I would be. |

Not sure if he fits better on wing or at center, but it'd either give us three strong centers down the middle plus Cizikas or it would add another offensive talent into the top six. Couldn't go wrong either way. |

Ok then, pay a higher price for Lehner, whatever it takes. My point is , are we all happy with this goalie tandem. Can they get the islanders past the first round? Heck , can they make it to the playoffs? Neither has looked good lately and it seems like they each let in one or more soft shots per game. |

I would make the deal schwein. Would work very well with the Isles keeping Dobson. |

The Islanders have much greater needs and limited assets to fill those needs. Using what they have on a goaltender they don't really need would be poor asset management. |

Watched the 3rd period earlier this morning and was pretty impressed with Bellows play, particularly in the corner and on the boards. He looks like he belongs.
Also, Dobson looked good. They better not trade him, I don’t care who it’s for. In about 2 years, he’ll be the best defenseman on this team. Better than Pulock, who’s one of my favorites on the team now. |

From what I saw, Bellows did look good. I would also not trade Dobson Potvin. Wahlstrom I would move in the right deal and also Wilde. |

I’d rather not trade Wahlstrom either but right now Dobson is the only untouchable prospect on this team. I’d be wary of trading Bellows but if they could pull some poop and bring in an All-Star type (not Hall) I’d do it.
Lol, flagged myself on accident. |
