Interesting read this morning, so hopefully I can get this straight...Boeser has regressed into a 3rd wheel player but is on pace for about 70pts, an increase of about 14-15pts from last year, the reasoning is because he doesn't "snipe" his shot, but has become defensively aware and is looking to set up other players better....ok not sure I buy this logic but, whatever floats your boat I guess.
And is Gaudette now considered an untouchable 3rd line centre that can't benefit from having Virtanen on his wing...another head scratcher for me...I look at Gaudette as holding a spot until another better option comes along, he isn't really that great, marginally good is my assessment. - Makita
Maybe, but this is his second "full" season in the NHL/pro game, and he's only 23. At the same age, Kesler was in his third season, and put up 37 points in 80 games, while Gaudette is on pace to put up about 43.
Not saying Gaudette is going to turn out like Kes, he has to work on his defensive game a lot more, but the kid has earned the time to grow before he's written off. |

Not sure what your on about but no, I’m not a gaudette fan. If you think boeser looks like an improved player I question whether or not you are watching the games. - CanuckDon
I watch every game, I was quite critical of Boeser last year as was Rueby, but the last half of this year he has certainly gotten a lot better defensively, and as I said on pace for 70pts.
As a team game I would much rather the defensive putting up points Boeser over the lazy defensive 60pt Boeser. |

Absolutely, that is what it is all about, continue to develop, I wasn't advocating for a change. I just misinterpreted Don thinking he was a great future centre that wouldn't benefit from Virtanen. |

Perhaps he is slightly better defensively but his production is more of a product of Miller and Elias. His offence has fallen off a cliff despite his numbers looking similar. Hopefully he finds his shot again one day and he becomes a more complete player. I suspect he probably will |

It’s sad that boeser can’t get anything done without Elias - CanuckDon
What is sadder is that Jake has to continually carry(and be,)the 3rd line. |

Boeser is learning the D side of things but won't really benefit being stuck with gaudette. Jake however can crash/bang on the third line and create space that Gaudette needs to move around. Boeser will find his game on the lotto line, but agreed I would prefer he is defensively responsible rather than see him trying to snipe every shot and be -20. |

It is funny, but sad, that you always get criticized for your opinion.
I think some here, must think that because you are a Mod, that you must follow the sheep.

Agreed. Unfortunately, for Jake, he makes that line better, and makes people believe Gaudette is a legitimate nhl calibre centre, which I have doubted, for some time.
But what do i know, he is the best of our bad options, at this time.

I won't try to spoil it for anyone but really it was 'good' but disappointing at the same time. Great effects and CGI and stuff but Cameron just went back to a formulaic story which was disappointing. Plot could have been so much better. Oh well. |
