I keep telling my gf this but she just doesn't seem to understand

That's because you need to put more air into her, she's deflated from over-use.

I like where you are going..
Blow up the team, rebuild it around the three you mention.

Trust the process.

- opeth_pa

Here’s the thing though. I didn’t say how we would get those players because there is no easy answer. I can only tell you what I think would help this team. Get more gritty players. They’re players that wouldn’t take a kings Ransom to get.

I'm wondering why they haven't switched JvR and Coots on the PP. The PP looks a bit lost, so I'd load up that PP1 .
- jmatchett383

I agree. And they still have some decent offensive components for PP2.

Not to damper the mood here after a win but did anyone read about the 18 year old goalie from Russia who passed away yesterday from Ewing sarcoma? He was battling it for a year.

Really hoping Oskar win this battle.

Sadly, the reality of the disease is quite sobering. Even if Oskar survives, it is almost a certainty he will never be well enough to play NHL hockey again. His bones and body will be too brittle to survive that kind of daily trauma.

Yes I did; it’s very sad. Cancer sucks.

Sorry about the length...

Giroux — 28 (20) -8
Couturier — 32 (20) -12
Voracek — 20 (17) -3
JVR — 30 (22) -8
Hayes — 20 (26) +6
Konecny — 24 (27) +3
Lindblom — 23 (=11) #OskarStrong
Patrick — 18 (:-(
Laughton — 11 (14) +3
Mystery winger (Farabee) — 12 (12) even
Raffl — 9 (8) -1
Pitlick — 12 (9) -3
Mystery 13 (Vorobyev) — 1 (1) even
*Add: Bunnaman, Aube-Kubel, Twarynski, Frost, Kase — =7 (12) +12

Provorov - 12 (14) +2
Sanheim - 6 (11) +5
Niskanen - 8 (11) +3
Gostisbehere - 11 (8) -3
Braun - 4 (5) +1
Hägg - 4 (1) -3
Myers - 4 (5) +1
Morin - 1 (:-(

The first number was my preseason Flyers players estimated goals for, the second is what the player is on pace to get, and the third is +/- from my estimate. Before the season started, my estimates indicated a total of 290 team goals which would be in the top 5 in the league. The current pace suggests 254 team goals and a 12-14th place finish. They currently sit at 13th in goals for with 165 scored.

There is very little surprise factor in these goals totals for those who follow the team closely. The single biggest loss being the 30 goals combined from the absence of Patrick and Lindblom. Another is the Couturier negative total but I would argue that part of it is the trickledown effect from missing Patrick and not being able the pair Coots with Giroux which also affects G’s total.

On the plus side, Hayes looking better than expected, nice adds from the Phantoms, and the defensemen on the whole looking like +5 or maybe I just underestimated Sanheim, he is getting more minutes.

Saying Panarin isn’t a difference maker is probably the dumbest thing I’ve ever read on this site

I like this news. I'm praying that Oskar had this diagnosed VERY EARLY and makes a similar recovery.
I would love him back. We all know that being healthy is the most important thing.

Panarin has made the Rangers a Cup favorite. Most pundits are picking them.

Katie Emmer and Jordan Hall have a new podcast also. I kind of like the laidback conversational vibe. They have a nice dynamic and cracked me up a few times. If you need more Flyers talk...

Doesn't seem to have made much of a difference in NY.

The Rangers would be down with the devils if they didn’t have him, maybe worse. Idk what you think a difference maker is but this guy is one of the best wingers in the league and if he was added to the flyers we would probably finish first or second in the division.
