I really think I want to keep AG and not trade him. AG and Igor will be some tandem in the years to come. Maybe keep the 3 goalie carousal around next year? I really hate the thought of AG going on to win 300 games with another team.

He’d probably eat all the food and surely drink all the beer

I think Chicago picks him up once he’s a free agent, or Florida.

I could absolutely see him signing with FLA or TB. Cheap deal that gets minimally-taxed.

My bad : Comeaus goal wasnt Buch's T O ,it was Trouba missing the keep in & De guseppe losing track of puck/playr .comeau beat HANk like a rental
Buch stills need to go in a pkg.
Why cant Smith on his merit as a d with snarl & NYR paying 1/2 the cash cost NOt get out of here : a. hole of a penalty to start the 16 sec. barrage .... just taking up space
take nothing back to make it happen

Bfyuglin : with whole yr off ,next season he will be a beast , gotta have vet presence with all the so called kid corps coming on D ,He could be the top 2 D man falls in our laps for next 2-3 yrs while ALL the great D prospects grow up & mature

Ques . out of say 6 super top prospects : Along with Fox ,Lindgren,Hijak

Lundkqvist,Miller ,Keane,Rykov,Rumenaen ,Robertson

whos on the NYR Along with possible vets Trouba Skjei A DA

we need a top vet D man to help Trouba big time & give some reality to young un played kids .. D G said it last nite recap , how MEN were out there ....
Talent on paper we can match ... yes but men to boys is a real tangible value & we as prospectors forget or under value what it takes more than talent to play in the NHL ,the mental cruelty & pressure is real issue and shakes the confidence & play of every one of them at one time or another .

Nothing pissed me off more than the MULTIPLE times they gave a haphazard, hard to handle pass to the last man and started an odd-man rush for Dallas. Just a whole bunch of bad decisions.

- Tonybere

^This has become a hallmark for their play it seems. Also, the area passes that just amount to turn overs are maddening.

They got guys that need to go. We gotta be patient. Once next season (20-21) ends the clock starts ticking on being a contender again, finally

I’ve seen enough of Buch, Smith, Staal, Hank and Skjei. Hopefully they’ll all be gone after next season. McKegg, Haley, Boo, Phil the Guido, etc don’t have to let the door hit them on the ass on the way out either

#Leafs have recalled Kasimir Kaskisuo from the Marlies.

Frederik Andersen, of course, suffered an upper body injury in last night's game. Practice is scheduled for a couple hours from now.

- jimbro83

Kakisuo has all of one NHL start and Hutchinsons' numbers have been terrible all season. If Andersen is concussed and/or out for a stretch, Toronto absolutely has to get a goalie. Can you imagine the reaction from their fanbase if they miss the playoffs with that roster?

I'd like to keep him too, but it seems like we have a lot of potentially good goaltenders coming down the pike, have to consider that as well, so maybe its not such a bad thing to trade him for the right packege. Looks like we will likely lose Wall because there is no where for him to go with us in the near future.

they need to win the Cup, now, not making the playoffs is a travesty

and if their first rounder isn't in the top 10, it goes to Carolina because they took Marleau

they are desperate

they need Georgiev and they need to pay handsomely for him

I agree with every single player except DiGuiseppe. Not saying he makes or breaks the team but I think he’s a physical player that could fit nicely on our 4th line on a cheap contract.

It's just more reason why the Rangers can't afford to let Georgie sit for 4 or 5 games straight. Need to showcase him more right now

I understand why they started Lundqvist last night but in hindsight, it was dumb move for sure

They should just make Hank the back up every game (Veteran presence around) and rotate the other two, 1-2 starts for each then go to the other.

31 games left. Give the kids 12-13 each and Hank the rest. Eff Hank if he insists on playing, he was awful last night and great vs the worst team in the league. Hank shouldn’t be in the picture any longer. Maybe they force his hand even, to waive and want to get out of NY🤷🏻‍♂️

Like Vally stated in the Detroit post-game, the "unwritten rule" is you always get the next start when you post a shutout. I think thats the reason Hank got the start and I am good with that.

Has anyone heard or read where Lundqvist plans to retire after next year? I think he wants to play, and he's gonna want to play for the Rangers. You think it's a mess now, just wait.

You think so? Obviously Shesterkin is going to get the bulk of the work starting next year. I think AG will probably be traded over the summer, so Hank will be the back up next year. Really what options does he have?

Yeah, as nice as it is to think about a AG/Shesty tandem I think AG is as good as gone. Considering this is still a "rebuild" that's not the worst thing granted the return is decent. I hope they find a way to retain Kreider. Even when he's not scoring his net front presence is much needed. When he's on a streak he brings energy all around him. Guys like that aren't all that common.
