He has a bunch of assists, but he's having a pretty poop season in the AHL in terms of goal production. Wonder if this is some ongoing issue that's effecting him?

He’s not good. He’s about to be 23 without a single NHL game and outside of 1 year he’s done nothing.

he might not be good or he may not have gotten a chance because of all the Toronto forwards

but, we also thought Ryan Strome wasn't good when we acquired him right?

sometimes guys just need an opportunity

I do know that he's best buds with Fox and they work out all summer together

I advocate him being a throw in in a deal with the Leafs, not the main part of it

Getting my trade fix in the last 12 hours....Mookie Betts and that 4 team 12 player NBA trade. Wish the NHL did more multi team trades

i hope all the posturing gets a deal done after tonites game , 1st kapenen gets to sit 1 game over wkend for missing practice ,Now Bracco is held out ,NYR starting Shesty not Georgiev the tor. killer I D K ,seems like the circling of the wagons to me for both teams ,If NYR loses tonite we are heading south for the remainder with plans for P O's next yr .

I have no problem with this while we are still searching for parts. I just don't want to give up a ton for him.

Ryan Graves is a good comparison, he never got a chance with the Rangers and he should have, now he's thriving

Rangers seem to have the opportunity there for Bracco to see what's he's got

McKegg, Di Giuseppe, Haley, Smith, I mean, we've been running out crap in the bottom 6 all year long

realistically when u show J D in a sellers article on S B NYR its a done deal , some hockey group gives the NYR a 2-5 % chance of making P O's at best ?

with a 3rd liner (FAST ) on top line & another 3rd liner with Buchny on the other top line ,Why expect a P O caliber team , mgmt has been selling competion when its known exactly what they will be doing , I think the 2 loses before the break was the straw that broke the camels back .... we were done after losing that 2-1 game last minute goal & Fish hd loss . Now we wait for the hammer to come and start the sell off
If we get a bunch of picks & prospects no matter thats deflating ,I want some NHL ready to bloom types( Zib) joining the fracas ,no names ,when smoke clears we have to close the gap for a top D left side & a top 6 north south type winger .

I’m just not moving anything of significance for him (Georgiev). If they want to do one of the younger depth defenseman we have for him (Graves type swap), no problem.

4th line issues : D G dosnt seem like the coach who loves rolling 4 lines ,he see 3 & a 10 % 4th line filler thruout game : maybe its B/c we dont have much of a 4th line ,usually size ,grit ,attitude , fore checking , solid D awareness ,make for a good 4 th liner , but sitting for 52 -54 min a game is hard to get anything going ,spotting them 6-8 min a nite is defeating the purpose , its a necessity to have 4 lines for the season to pace all so no burn out when you need them most , Our 4th line candidates are really fillins till we settle the top 9 ...

Our 3rd line Chtyil Lemeuix KK
Fast 3rd liner ,switch with K K his right spot
Howden aint a 4th line type ,
Mckegg ? I D K blew play on Perry's goal for 5-2 lead
Haley ? close to what u want only bigger faster better
Smith ..cmon

Athanasiou does not have that kind of trade clout right now

he has arguably had the worst season of any player in the league in terms of expectations

I am not saying I wouldn't want to trade for him, but, Tony D's trade value much higher than that

Yea that’s a bad one 🤮Georgy for Athanasiou is probably a good fair deal for both teams. He is horrible defensively tho. But he has the speed like Kreider, so that could be a replacement for him

Not sure what Detroit has in the pipeline for goalies tho

AA is an RFA with arb rights making $3 milllion this year, so even if a push, a pricey winger for his production.

AA is a right wing though, we are really set there for the future. We badly need to get another LW in the system. I don't think they move him, but Ehlers from the Jets I think is someone I hope the team kicked their tires on this past offseason.
