i just looked at the Sault Ste. Marie's rosters when he was GM there.
Funny thing is he had Matt Murray for 2 years on his roster, and then when Leafs were discussing the Kessel trade with Pens - Dubas explicitly didn't want Murray in the deal.
Seems that either he and Murray didn't go along well or Dubas has 0 clue about evaluating goalies (or both).

I've missed a period or two here or there (and all of yesterdays game) in the last 3 or 4 games - but aside from moments when he's good with the puck, I've thought Marner looks disinterested in retrieving or battling for the puck. The defensive side of his game of late - and to be honest a lot of this year - just hasn't seemed where it was last year.

I love just about everything Matthews does, and I think there's more to come with him.

He’s been targeting Clifford for a while now.

He knows who he is and what he will bring and having a relationship already with a player that’s about to have his contract end is never a bad thing.

I like Trevor Moore quite a bit - think it is a real pity leafs have given up on him this quickly..

Dillon is a good fit.

Obviously a D with term is preferred but that easily could be an offseason move.

I can’t see Dubas going the next month with Dermott in the top 4. He can’t handle it and there is no one else that is close to being ready for it.

Back up goalie - check
Toughness - check
RHD - TBD

I cant believe people are complaining that Dubas fixed his mistakes after they complained he wouldnt fix his mistakes

With the goalie pulled? I blamed Barrie for that 100%. Marner is not in motion at centre and Barrie dishes the puck to two guys who aren't moving? Don't give the puck to stationary players mid-ice. Barrie has a sense for the net, but he does stupid crap like that all the time. I don't recall who was standing beside Marner - probably Matthews - but the point is that if they are not moving, don't give them the puck.
