Muzzin is great. We need more like him.
Like I mentioned a few pages back. I think what the defense actually needs is another player that is similar to him. Tough to play against and a solid defender. Then pair them up with one of our many puck movers. |

Yeah, more slow guys who give the puck away. Sounds great. Hope they're signed to 6 AAV contracts too.
I like tough defensemen that hit and break the cycle but not at the expense of being able to skate and pass. It's the same problem as having a tiny, speedy, offensive defenseman that can't play defense. They need guys who are well rounded and balanced because they get burned both ways. |

They're out of the playoffs and they're not in the top 10 so as it stands, they should be considering sell mode. - JohnFergusonJr

Muzzin has no problem keeping up. He may be not straight line fast but he doesn't need to be, because he's usually in the right place.
Do you even watch the games or do you just poop all over everything? |

It wasn't long ago that Sportsnet did an evaluation of the Leafs schedule and they have one of the hardest schedules down the stretch. 15 games in 28 days in February with Andersen on the shelf. The TDL is February 24th. I don't see much improvement between now and then to justify letting Barrie and Muzzin walk for nothing.
Like I said before, if you can trade those guys for assets and then turn those assets into better defensemen for the next four years (their window of opportunity), then they should do it. I would rather be stronger for next year than try some snow ball in hell chance at a run as the 2nd wild card team, regardless of whether they make it or not. |

He's slow on a team that plays track meet hockey. He gives the puck away too much on a team that lives and dies by the stretch passes. Do you watch the games? Doesn't seem like it.
Muzzin, at 24-29 and 3-4 million dollars a year, is a good depth defensemen. Muzzin at 30-35 and 6 million dollars a year is a stupid decision. |

Is there anyone avail?
You cant let all of the good ones go and wait years
to try and replace. Their time is now before JT needs a walker.
