Current direction is rudderless. They're not in the playoffs and if they do make them, it's a wild card spot. They've gone backwards, despite all the "wonderful" changes they've made.

I'm going to disagree about agreeing to disagree because I have to say:

Sandin has faced bottom tier competition and done very well. He has yet to face top competition and is absolutely not ready. Feeling that we could trade a veteran defenseman - even one who doesn't really identify with "defense" - so we can throw in a 19 year old who has never faced top 6 competition will get him flayed alive - not only in performance, but also in this media mad city.

Agreed. It's happened before. Strahlman springs to mind... If a trade happens, I'm guessing more a Dermot+ for a RH equivalent...maybe a year more advanced, but medium to good upside. We simply don't have the assets to go for a top line right side D. I'd be happy with a guy who could play D like Hainsey, but about 15 years younger

Better is still better. Doesn't matter if it's by a little or a lot.

Hell, just a body change can have great effects on the team because the team clearly had no faith in Hutch, you could tell that from the way they played in front of him.
