Moore is undersized but fast. He's scored a total of 5 goals in 52 NHL games, so he's not apt to shock anyone. I think he has what it takes to be an effective guy who can score 12-15. He's also 24, which is why I would factor in the imbalance.

Clifford is 6'2 and is 35 pounds heavier than Moore @ 210lbs. He has 6 goals in 53 games this year, (so he's already a more prolific scorer than Moore!), so based on the "intangibles" you could argue Clifford has more value. Clifford is a UFA who's 29, however, so again, that's why I'd say Moore has more value.

Not really, Guy Lafleur was a much better player, perhaps the best in the NHL for a few years and he smoked a pack of cigarettes during a game, was a 2-3 pack a day guy.

While I agree, the Campbell/Clifford deal isnt a great one for the Leafs, giving up a 2nd for that package and a 3rd is not good. I dont mind moore, and two 3rds, but when it becomes a second thats a steep price for not a lot. Id imagine thats what the cost was to retain salary though.

Moore seems like a guy who has the potential, based on being very good in the AHL, but who you just keep waiting for him to take that step in the NHL.

Kind of like Jack Campbell, was good as a jr, has had success in the AHL and ECHL, but hasn't been able to be consistent at the NHL level
