I hope you guys get the Clifford of old because ever since Reaves knocked Cliffords chin off like 5 years ago, his physical play has dropped a lot. He’s ranked 89th in hits this season and has 3 fights losing just about all of them. He has no chin left and barely hits and when he does hit it’s more of a hard bump then a big hit. He did have his best year last year with 21 points.

he had his best year in points with 72 games played - 96 PIM - which was his most since sophomore year (123 mins)

I think he's still got some pop left in his game with 90 hits on the season so far - but like all players who grind/play hard like this they do eventually slow down. body can only give her 110% for so long.

Considering he's changed his twitter avatar to the Maple Leafs logo, I think we will get a happy Clifford who will do anything to help the team win.. Plus, he won't have to play against Reaves 4 times a year

this means he will fit in right in with the dubas squad; it doesn't matter what kind of hit it is, as long as it is noted down as one in the post-game stats
("Leafs outhit Bruins in the playoffs" is a really good example of that)
