Skinner is a very good robin. He needs his Batman to lead and carry the play (eichel)

honestly looking forward to reinhart getting traded and flourishing elsewhere then watching half of our fanbase pretend they never thought he was a problem

The biggest complaint with fans is effort and compete.

that's fine, but it's still a results business and it's absolutely not enough from a guy making $9 million.

Most fans will always point to the XGF and his 20 points this year are fine with them. Because his stats show "He should be producing more".

The other argument is look who he plays with. For 9 mil a year, the dude should be able to put up 40 points easily, regardless. He needs to be a guy that can drive his own line and produce by himself. He has failed to do so and is part of the reason this team is where it is.

The argument for paying Sam Reinhart here is that he cant produce away from Eichel. Well is that not what we are seeing from Skinner currently? Except he will be 29 and heading towards the downside of his career in a year or 2 and the Sabers will have 6 more years of 9 Mil cap hit.

If Skinner produces at this clip every year for the entirety of his contract, the Sabres will never get out of the basement. 9Mil for a 40 point guy is probably the worst contract in the league.
