One less goal then our $9M man. Must be due to the line mates he’s with
- Pegullaville

Whatever line Skinner has been on has looked like poop for quite a while now

The Larsson-Girgs line has looked good all year

Chemistry matters

Well whose worth more for the Money. To me and I've liked Risto's game this year, I would keep Montour as long as his demands aren't outrageous. Borgen and Samuelsson will be taking care of what Risto brings.

To play devil’s advocate,
don’t Dahlin, Jokiharju & Pilut bring what Montour does?

Mittelstadt with a PPG. Amerks lead 1-0.

Great zone entry by Mitts then he drives the net for the deflection.

Might not mean much in the long run but better than nothing.

6k in net too, right?

I'd rather keep Risto, I think

Me too, but I’ve been a Risto guy

If we need more toughness,
then that should at least partly factor in when talking who to keep in Risto vs Montour

Obviously other factors should be involved as well

At this point...
with how desperate we seemingly are for a 2C,
not trying Sam back at Center is the lineup move that’s bothering me the most

Eichel has shown he can produce with whoever
Sheary-Eichel-MoJo

Move Sam to 2C
Skinner-Sam-Frolik/Lazar/Vesey/whoever

Maybe it gets Skinner going
And maybe it solves 2C, allowing us to ease in
Mitts & Cozens on the wing next year

And if it doesn’t work...
No loss. Just move Sam back with Jack next season

Yes they do, but Montour isn't afraid to throw his body around either, just think you would get more for Risto. And with Borgen and Samuelsson can fill those shoes.

It was fun. I actually just asked a Red Wing fan if they would give there 1st for Dahlin. Haven't heard back yet. Not that I want to trade him, wanna see what other fans think about him.
- Buff36

I don't know what he's going to be yet, but just based on the fact he was a lead-pipe-lock 1st overall pick just 2 years ago, and even at his worst, holds his own in the NHL at 19, is asinine to trade him for anyone who's 33.

Yet they never do it, under 3 coaches and many opportunities to try it. No one seems remotely interested in it. I don't expect it to change.

Yeah, but can either play 20min a night?
Not yet
Borgen could be 3rd pair next year
Samuelsson needs at least 1 year in Rochester,
maybe more

I’m not sure who we could get more for
I’d think some GMs value Montour more,
and others would value Risto

I think they are all on the same page. Multiple coaches, GM's, and Sam.

And i'm not advocating for bringing him back...

..but Ted Nolan would have us in the playoffs right now.

That could be right
I just don’t see the harm in trying it
Especially when Botts specifically mentioned Sam could play center before last season

I’m guessing there’s a reason
But i wish one of our crack reporters would ask Botts AND Kruger so we could at least get an answer

Yeah not to far fetched, guess we shall see, can't keep them both can you.
