No, ROR was right and the current GM has failed miserably at trying to remedy the situation. That haul ended up being larva infested old liver meat transported in a heated hearse while taking the scenic route and losing a piece of the deal on the way.

I don't know. It looks like they have a few good players already in the fold. and they'll have a top end pick this year. SO my thinking was, if they land Lafreniere, they might be looking for a top end D. But now I see Alexis is not a center. So probably not.

But Id still be ok with trading Dahlin for a very good young center. That's the key, finding that guy. AKA Malkin 2008

The misconception here is so incredibly strong.

Skinner is and has been an elite play driver. In season, he's consistently inconsistent. he goes on droughts every year. This year is especially strong, but if ya take a second to look at his scoring, you, me, and the entire world know he's a 50-60 point guy.

For what's literally about the 13,000 time, yes, he was overpaid, just like every single high profile UFA ever.

I'm losing faith that Jason will do it right this summer. But tensions are extremely high in that front office, and there's a real chance Jason doesn't see the draft.
