I'm losing faith that Jason will do it right this summer. But tensions are extremely high in that front office, and there's a real chance Jason doesn't see the draft. - TheSabresTaco
It wouldn't surprise me, have you heard any other names. |

You have to think of the future and unfortunately 19 year old Dahlin doesn't fit our timeline - jcragcrumple

So its CJ Smith, Johansson, and our 2nd for Larkin.

No, I just know someone in the media with off the record information. No names, but there's a real sense Jason won't see the draft. Maybe someone around here can confirm my most basic information. |

Yes he would. Larkin would be totally awesome. But not for Dahlin. And if Dahlin (or Jack) are the only players that land you Larkin, then sorry, looks like we'll have to wait for Cozens or Mittelstadt. - TheSabresTaco
I understand that, that's why it would have to be more included. To tell you the truth taco, I hope other GM'S have a liking to some of are players. Cause I was trying trade scenarios with other teams poster's and I tell you we wouldn't be getting many phone calls |

I'm not even putting trade proposals together.
End of the day, Dahlin's not getting traded and neither is Larkin. |

Even if he does, the next 7 months are huge for this organization. |

Yeah.. ya know, here's an excerpt from an Athletic article.
"The truth of the matter is that even though the Sabres have lots of players headed for potential unrestricted free agency, there isn’t a single one who could realistically be considered an impact player, which means it’s more about clearing the decks of unwanted bodies to pave the way to what is expected to be a dramatic overhaul before next fall, as opposed to returning picks or prospects that could help this team in the future."
I think the best case scenario for the Sabres is to collect picks and long term, maybe high end prospects (developing late rounders from maybe 15/16) and using those picks to supplement trades in the summer or draft. It's not a great option, but it's like.. the only one. |

Need to build from within and use FA to fill a needed spot here and there, and we need a few kids to hit for next year. Most of are prospects won't even be in the system for another 2yrs |

Beane was able to reforge this team with quality UFAs last March. Botterill will need to do the same. Find ACTUAL complimentary players. |

Victor Olofsson has been the only player beyond the third round to make an impact as a skater since Marcus Foligno in 2009, and if you don't want to count him, Paul Byron in 2007, and if you don't want to count him, Nathan Gerbe in 2005, and if you don't want to count him, Jan Hejda in 2003.
Wanna know why this franchise is a sad sack of poop? That. That right there. |

Ya know, and I'm not saying find 5-6 NHL FAs.. 2 or 3 guys can make a real, significant difference. The bigger impact moves need to be trades if we're being honest. |

So I went to the Game on Sunday (reluctantly) with my daughter. I went against my rule of not giving this team a penny more money mainly because my daughter has me wrapped around her finger.
I bought a fountain pop and the lady tells me, We are out of straws? How in the FRANK to you run out of straws? She tells me that they are switching over to a paper straw but the shipment has not come in yet.
This franking organization SUCKS Donkey Ballz... |

100%. Having all this cap space is not a good thing.
It means you have a very bad roster.
Not to mention 25-30 mil is going to Dahlin, Reinhart, Montour and VO over the next 2 years.
Dahlin - 9
Montour - 6
VO - 5
Reinhart - 7
So there goes all your cap space. |

I think Okposo may be moveable in some capacity after next season. Whether it's BO or retention. But I hear ya. More than ever, it's vital these draft picks pan out. With Eichel, Dahlin, Skinner and Reinhart making a ton of money, you need Dylan Cozens putting up 50-60 points in 21-22 |

2000% on board with this, its terrible.
Also even teh 1st round picks arent hits. Look how many 1st round picks barely have 100 points and in comparison to ppg is awful |
