I am absolutely certain they care. Throw the fans a (frank)ing bone, though. - TheSabresTaco
I'll come off as a pegulas defender, but they care.
Can you seriously blame them for putting the Bill's ahead of the Sabres? NFL vs. Nhl ?
Also, who wouldn't prioritize their daughter who's a professional tennis player?
They fired brandon and a few other creepy touchy perverts and failed to replace them. That's an issue.
My understanding is they have stepped back and trusted the management team of botts/Kroeger.
They get criticized for being micromanaged, then for being to passive. Tough spot |

Pegula's have an in house model on how a franchise at the player level needs to operate. Look no further than Brandon Beane's purview. The Sabres need A Process. |

Who CARES?!
No one part of the organization wins without the other PARTS doing their jobs!
There are multiple parts of this organization not doing their jobs properly, not just the one you like to put 100% of the blame squarely on. - Powerslave
I'll put it into this scenario: I'm the GM of a restaurant. I pick the managers and the employees. Quality declines. At some point, the owner is going to come look for me and say: "you're running this place into the ground" |

Yes, as much as it pains me im 90% sure ill renew. I was very lucky with having people want to buy multiple games this year. Had the seats since the arena was open so the history makes it hard to end. |

A pro hockey team is NOTHING like a pro sports team. Stop.
Bussing tables is done a specific way. The steak cooked by the chef is done a specific way. There isn't a 3rd line bus boy.
And you can't trade a (frank)ing waiter to another restaurant for a bus boy and future considerations. |

If you're going to buy a business, it;s in your best interest to provide whatever resources necessary for that business to thrive. So while the NFL makes more money than the NHL, it behooves them to provide, proportionally, the exact same resources for both teams.
What it comes down to. What it really, really comes down to. Is finding the right GM and by extension, the right coach. Those two, like McBeane, are in chanrge of what players come in, what message is to be conveyed, and what the culture of the team is.
Botterill up to this point has not implanted an identity into this team, and has not gotten rid of the toxicity that has plagued this team for a very long time. |

it's not the GM's fault, solely, for hiring 'workers' that have performed well in the past and are declining due to reasons x, y and z. However, it is his job to cut bait when necessary. And that day needs to be July 1st. |

It's a metaphor for management. Ultimately everything under the purview of the guy at the top is his responsibility. If they succeed, he gets the praise. If they fail, he gets the blame. That's the gig |

Id trade Dahlin for a CERTAIN upper end 2C. Like I said before, desperate times call for desperate measures. We are desperate. If a deal could be made for Larkin, Id do it. Theres your Crosby/Malkin for the next decade.
There aren't many players Id trade Dahlin for, but Larkin is one. - ThundernLightning

Oh and thank you for the food suggestions for Pittsburgh.
Buragtory was a nice burger spot
Fat HEadz- unfortunately the 45 min wait and a 4 year old didnt work so we went down the street to a small lil restaurant.
The Souper Bowl- nice lil lunch spot near the arena. - hubie
Best shake I've ever had was at Burgatory in Pittsburgh. Burger was good, but their shakes are outstanding. |

And I disagree. When he makes a choice about a player or coach, their success or failure is also his.
I don't blame him for the jerseys or dj milk or whatever else, but the players and coaches are a direct reflection on him. |

A buddy of mine says the pegulas are pissed. He was affraid to use a sick day, worried about being canned.
Everyone is looking over their shoulder, not just botts.
The pegulas don't care, isnt accurate. - Boss34
Is his job to order the straws?
I would guess the pissed comes from being embarassed nationally.
Let's hope that doesn't lead them to another emotionally-based, reactionary decision. |

K.
This is a moot point that you'll continue to beat into the ground, ad nauseum.
You don't like the gm. We get it.
We have zero say in what the owners will do, come April. Unless you were downtown last Sat...that was one helluva turnout. |

"well, GM dingdong..." started your post about Sheary.
90% of the posts you make has a Botterill reference.
He isn't the only one to blame here.
If you met Sheary, would you tell him, "listen dude, it's not your fault that you're underperforming. It's GM dingdong's"? |

He's not underperforming.
Excluding the Crosby year:
91 points in 250 games. .36 points per game
This year:
17 points in 49 games: .34 points per game
This is who Sheary is.

Yeah, of course I excluded it. Playing with Crosby is a cheat code

Good analogy
What if the menu was new (coaching) and you hired many new faces ( hockey players) , would you give the gm some time?
If the current employees, who came over with a solid work ethic and track record. Is it all on the gm? Or on the employees too, for not living up too their former work ethics? |
