No team is going to trade them any player worth a first rounder at the deadline unless he's a rental, which the Sabres are in no position to take on. If they're going to go that route, the trade won't happen until the offseason.

The Avalanche went from 48 points to 95 points and a playoff birth. If you believe that prior statistical seasons have a direct causation on future results I don’t believe that is the case.
