Why not keep him and acquire the desired talent?
Why create another hole...just because he didn't sign your friends daughter jersey?
ERod tries hard, gives good effort, maybe JCraig would sell you his Jersey'
ERod probably signs it too. - IonSabres
Reinhart signed my hat, no problem.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Maybe Boss's niece was giving Reino the stink eye
And yes, erod signed my jersey. Its getting mounted and put on the wall of my bar/recroom when that's done, along with my Foligno amerks jersey, coyotes kachina and my goat head vanek |

Ah the video scout2000 chimes in.
Just an opinion. but they could find someone cheaper and tougher to play next to eichel. Insurance for the inevitable next cheap shot.
You know - a 40-45 point guy - that's gets a 20 point boost playing with a superstar.
Maybe move sam to a tough team that needs some more skilled guys? A hockey trade. For both teams

This is great! A one night rebranding! If you rebranded the Sabres for a night, what would they be? - Gr8daygo

Instead of having to give up some of our own good, young assets by trading with another team, wouldn't it be nice if we could actually draft well? Our drafting has been brutal for far too long. A random monkey could have drafted Eichel or Dahlin. Outside of Olofsson, what draft pick has truly exceeded expectations? - SabreWest
How can you tell, we traded it all away |

Boils down to god given talent and lack of effort.
Sam , son of a long time nhler has been given every benefit of the doubt thru out his hockey playing career.
His effort has been brought up countless times for the past few years. The sammers can deny it, but it happened in national view last week vs. Detroit.
Sam is getting set up by a top 3 passer in the league.
Pp1 every benefit possible. He has 21 goals.
For whatever reason ( I'm hoping they are boosting his trade value) the Sabres refuse to play them apart or at his drafted position- center- which he failed at prior
As a season ticket holder- ( it's my fault and all that) we lost an entire season on purpose for this non franchise player? Seriously, when the next guy picked is a mega superstar.
He is also slow and not all all exciting in person. His stats are great ,but hes slow and doesnt go all out.
Off ice - countless douche bag moves. Including not signing an autograph for a young fan.
Pommer- 2nd rounder worked his way up thru the ranks.
Even waived but percerveered.
Scored big goals and led the sabres to playoff games.
Then the wild to playoff games.
Seems like pommer gave it everything , despite not having god gifted talents. Hard worker. Clutch scorer.
Off the ice, he's a Great dude. A great human being.
He clearly was named captain, which obviously means the team and teammates respect him .
Sam wore an "A" the other day, as a make up , feel good coaching decision. Here sam, we believe in you. Dont worry about meany mike Harrington.
I can not and will not argue Sam's scoring stats.
They are impeccable. Consistent from year to year with growth. Actually impressive.
Mostly with eichel. That's where the asterisk appears
Pommer at 36 years old last year showed how easy it is to score with eichel. Easy peasy. - Boss34

If Tampa calls at the draft and offers Cirelli (maybe +) for Reinhart and Mittelstadt, I'd do it. But it has to be coupled with moving a d man + for a good RW because we have almost literally nothing at that position.
I'm also completely fine with keeping him, because we have very little talent - jcragcrumple
Maybe + ????
It better be a heck of a “+” actually
Just bc Mitts hasn’t developed into a good player at 21, doesn’t mean he won’t be at 24 (or sooner)
Also... if Tampa can’t afford to pay Cirelli,
How could they afford to pay Sam? |

Lol.
65-70 pt guy is their problem.
Got it.
I think you need to focus on watching the game instead of talking to you hockey Dads, I realize you can't see 2/3 of the game from the blue line out, so here...these guys, watch these guys...
Vesey
Sheary
Erod
McCabe
There's $10m of poop
Add Bogo and you're up to $15m
There's the problem.
But you do you. |

Reinhart has 16 points in the last 16 games
But he is the reason we suck
Send him to Rochester and let Gus play out the season on top line
