Things that I would do when the season is officially no longer in doubt.

1. Get 23 off of the top line. I am not at all a fan of his but it's time to see what he would do without Jack. To be fair he looks like a completely different player when he is out there without Jack - lets find out what we have.

2. Put 19 in the press box and nail the door shut.

3. Trade 55 for whatever top 6 piece you can get. Center of wing, I don't care.

Bill's are good again, time to start watching again.

Sabres tanked for sam and eichel. Its also my belief that they lost for dahlin, svech or tkachuk also.

Bad hiring has hurt the pegulas and the Sabres.

Need to find mcbeane like taco has been saying.
Kruegerill isnt getting it done currently

For me the thing is that once I've moved on I'm probably not coming back easy. Once apathy sets in its hard for me to care again. I mean, I watched the bills playoff game but just laughed at the end. Gonna need a few good seasons in a row for me. I'm just one guy though so in the big picture I'm irrelevant to them.

Its because you're the only person on here to take this blog seriously enough to show up to a park.

Yeah, spend hours after hours on here instead of a bit of time in the real world where u might actually get “heard”
Makes sense

hasn't this pretty much occurred? i mean we lost to two of the three worst teams in the NHL this season and we are the third one.

Because apathy is a more dangerous emotion for a franchise than anger. I'd love to see a protest home game, preferably on national television. If only 2-3k show up, that sends a message.

Ownership may already have the season ticket money, but the advertisers and NBC would be very unhappy showing that to a national audience. That would generate pressure.

Standing outside with a sign saying "I am upset" just shows you still care, which propagates the idea that no matter how poopty they are, people will still show up.

It's that notion that needs to be destroyed

- jcragcrumple

U don’t think 3,000ppl showing up would’ve been a real statement?
Only 20ppl showing up to a protest,
When 12,000 still show up to all the games just shows them that Duane is a nut job,
and most fans would rather continue to pay for a product they’re willing to accept

And you will NEVER get only 3,000ppl to show up to a game
But let’s go ahead & say your strategy is realistic...
Are u doing anything to try & organize your walkout/boycott...
Or just spending time here daily accomplishing nothing?

high on that soap box today.

Ranting about not having a straw is ridiculous

And could’ve turned it into a good thing instead of being all upset about nothing

Just thinking outside the box I see.

I bet cozens and our 1st gets detroit to pick up the phone. Maybe unload okposos contract, with a borgen or pilut?

- Boss34

I want Cozens. We have a plethora of Dman that we could survive that trade, won't be as good but we could survive. I might consider the 1st for Larkin, to try and keep Dahlin. Larkin would be the perfect fit.

Networking is the big thing. Feel like each year ive picked up a few people who buy multiple games.

Ill keep my ears open for anyone dropping

- hubie

Thank you, I'm in row 6, but would get closer if possible.

I really like my seats now, clear view, no glass dividers directly in front of you. Mostly lifelong fans.

My understanding is the Sabres really pitched the seats up in fort erie/ saint Catherine's ect. Back in the day.
Lowers behind each net. Probably changing now.

The nexus bs might hurt business as well.

Road team shoots twice is more profitable.

Wish we had an awesome goalie.

i really don't care but they are a Fort Wayne Indiana company. They have had a growth of something like 700% since the paper straw thing took off about a year ago

And I'm not willing to accept it. That's why I said I'm voting with my wallet and my feet. Will my singular absence mean anything in the grand scheme? No. But I think if more people adopted my stance, it has a better chance of working than standing outside with a sign.

Money talks. Advertisers, TV, concessions and merch sales mean something.

People are free to voice their displeasure or happiness in whatever way they want. Apathy is what will lead to change, not anger imo

If we trade Dahlin,
then we will be looking for a #1 defenseman

You just don’t get it
They need to hire a “hockey guy” to micromanage Botts & Kruger

This has been my whole issue from the start
U think Shanahan was telling Lou who to trade for?
Nope
These Team President guys don’t have a say in things like -what line is Skinner playing on, or
-should we bring in Vesey or trade for Haula

They aren’t going to micromanage their GMs like that

- jdfitz77

I agree. They just need to get lucky with a gm/ coach

The pegulas asked the nhl for recommendations on hiring, when they hired botts.

The Bill's needed a football "czar" right?
Nope- they hired a quality coach and gm.
Things are looking up for the Bill's

Coaches & GMs shouldn’t be doing that publicly
Any kind of talk like that needs to stay in the room
Think Botts or Ralph are gonna go on WGR and say “Sheary sucks” is a fantasy

We got very fortune for so long with miller and company
The quick in and out being on that side is big imo. A girl i work with family is on the other end similar seats and takes them forever to get out.

Funny you mention the pitch to the northern borders, the guy next to me come from just south of Hamilton. Which is why he always wants weekends or tickets in 4s. Which is good and all but those games are easier to go to with a 4 year old so i dont have to leave after the 2nd every game.

IM not sure if there is much of a price difference between which rows youre in I may be wrong.

Yeah, that's your prerogative and if I had seasons I would also find it hard to sit out a game. I have access to free tickets basically whenever I want, but I'm not spending a dime in that arena until structural changes to the franchise are made. I told Spectrum when I canceled cable it's because the Sabres suck. I'm voting with my wallet in any way I can.

Does it really mean anything if I, one guy, do this? Do they give a poop? Absolutely not. But for me, it's the best way I know how. If people want to picket games, or go to games, or whatever, I get it. I think starving them of oxygen has the best chance of success

- jcragcrumple

Good post

Call me old fashioned, but being a season ticket holder means you try and make all the games.

Obviously, real life interferes

3,000ppl showing up would’ve made a hell of a statement, true or false?

Maybe if u were trying to organize a boycott then i could see where you’re coming from,
but are you?

That on top of I may be wrong but imo Dahlin is far more marketable than Larkin. Other than the American angle what marketing wise can you say this makes sense. The NHl wants to get more global and what better way then to have what may become the biggest Sweed since the twins?

Has to be the dumbest idea I've seen on here let's trade a 19 year old franchise D that will most likely have 60-80 points in the coming years

Can’t turn a hockey team around as quick as football
Especially with the hole GMTM left us in

I just find it amusing that so many “die hard fans for 50 years” care enough to b!tch on here constantly,
but when an opportunity comes to make a real statement they’re still just hiding behind their keyboards in their safe space
