We’ve done a fantastic job of getting that 2nd line center and just bringing in random guys like Olofsson to score 20+ goals, I TOTALLY have faith that would’ve worked out so easily
- sbroads24

Our organizations incompetence is the exception not the rule.

The Blues picked up Perron off the street for nothing.

Tatar was a throw in to a deal and look at his production

Burakovsky, Donskoi, whoever the frank plays on the wing in Pittsburgh, who in the frank knew who Dominak Kubalik was 2 months ago.

There are hundreds of wingers I can list off right now that could produce in our top 6 that could be attainable in a trade or signed in free agency if we had a capable 2C.

I really wonder why botts hasn’t even tried to get one the last 2 years. Like what the heck happened?

Even if you trade for one and cozens / mitts progress into good players. You can always trade away players to fit under the cap and gain some of that capital back for trading for a 2C

- Sabretooth9

He thought Mitts would’ve improved.

He scored 13 goals as a rookie, no one thought he’d totally lose confidence and need the AHL. Oh well

All bark, no bite.

Only 5 more goals for Sam?
On a straight line basis, he would project to 30.
What causes you to think he will have such a dramatic fall off?
The past couple seasons his 2nd half is stronger that his 1st.

- IonSabres

More of a playmaker then a goal scorer.

And were specifically talking about this organization, so it absolutely is the rule.

They’ve failed to get good forwards outside of Skinner.

Letting Skinner walk is/was a hilariously bad idea

I do think he has tried.
I also believe he places too high of a value on Risto, his best trade chip, and said the same back in June/July.
That seems to be confirmed by 89's info yesterday that Bott's has turned down offers because he wants that 2C or 2RW.
I take that to mean he believes Risto's value is that of them.
Fallacy, he needs to add to it.

Skinner has no impact what’s so ever in where we sit today in the standings, absolutely none. So yes, I believe the long term cap relief would have been more important then having a boat anchor of a contract on our books for the next 8 years where we could have easily found complimentary wingers to fill holes in our middle 6.

For a date driven guy, that logic is an outlier.
But whatever, we'll see at the seasons end.

I do now know after yesterday that he completely sucks and isn't worthy of being on this team
...according to some(one)

Was it publicized enough? Didn't hear anything after the initial survey on twatter, but I wasn't searching for it either

It’s comical that you can actually look at this years standings and tell me Jeff Skinner makes ya a better team.

Skinner peaked in his contract year, and we get to watch him decline for the next 7 years and wish we had that cap space for a goalie who could stop a beachball or to be able to afford the raise that the 2C (whom he needs to produce) will need in a few years (whether it’s Cozens, Mitts, or this years first rounder).

Where as there are going to be hundreds of wingers that either are traded, signed in free agency, or drafted that could also come in and put up points and contribute. They might not score as many even strength goals but who franking cares.

They mentioned it on channel 2 news this morning. I think the best protest is just not going to games tbh. Make it look like a Florida game.

By your logic, if Reinhart is replaceable, then so is Laine

As for producing with Eichel, maybe, but even then we know that not everyone can play with him. As for the second or third lines, it's not going to matter until there are centers in place

The message could be, fvck it, don't care anymore...not sure, but if so that is far worse than a bunch of caring fans they get their money from anyway.

Season ticket renewals will be the real message anyway. Kym better bring back The Philanderer, he was a magician on selling and reselling Hope.

You know, Kaiser was right when he said you claim to be right about everything because you say everything.

Last page, like 10 minutes ago, you are praising Laine for his EV goals. 10 minutes ago.

Ya, I wouldn't be real motivated to include our 1st in that, unless Kubalic player RW...then I'd considerate it
- IonSabres

I posted on the Blackhawks forum here to confirm, but CapFriendly, who is usually quite solid, only have Strome listed as a Center.

The 1st would not to be included in a Mittelstadt + Pilut for Strome + Kubalik trade.

In a comparison between franking wingers.

My generalization of the position in itself still stands that it is the least important position in hockey.

Every winger in the league apart from maybe the top 10-15 are replaceable

I'd love to see an organized no-show game. Do we have any national games left? Sub-3000 attendance for a national game would get more attention than 30 people with signs
