I don't buy jersey's of other men playing a sport. I don't care if others do. Sam is a first line talent on any team in the league. I'm sure you're upset that we didn't pick Pasta either there. Hindsight is glorious. And you see a guy that is emotionless, I've seen a guy stick up for our actual Star when he got crushed by Cernak over in Sweden. But yeah, lets blame the actual talent we have because he's not a better talent. Last I checked, Drai has as many rings has Sam and only one playoff appearance to his name. We'll see how well he fares after the adrenaline runs out when a star gets hurt.

Any team? That's crazy.

That's why we need to hope a couple of the young guys step up, And either Risto or Montour has to help get you one of those pieces.
- Buff36

Maybe risto and montour put up 100 points next season?

Yeah, any team. I'm not saying he's the number 1 RW and would supplant a Kane or Pasta, but he's a first line talent.

I like Mojo, that's why I think with the right Center him and Skinner could make a solid 2nd line. That would give you 2 good lines. Larsson Girgs and Lazar could make up your 4th, even Wilson has looked good with them. Hopefully Cozens Mitts Tage or maybe Rustollanin(spelled wrong) can fill out some of the 3rd. Really could upgrade this roster with 2 decent FA, or by a trade or 2
- Buff36

On a quality team Mojo is a nice 3rd line player. On a mediocre team he is a 2nd liner. I hope they move him for a second.

Could Risto get one of the Hurricanes 1st, reports they are willing to trade one for a defensemen with term left

So he's a top line player on any team, but not all the teams. Got it.

Sorry for implying you bought a jersey of another man, playing a sport .

Never mentioned pasta, clearly a reach. Ever....
Just the other guy " German wayne Gretzky " leon d.

And 1 playoff series, 0 rings, a great team contract, and league leading points

Or

A guy with 0 playoff series and 0 rings.
Not leading the league in scoring

No one is affraid of sam. He ate a 1/2 dozen punches 10 feet in front of me. Stick up move that didnt pan out

Leon is passionate and not soft small slow sam

Maybe the bruins trade us pasta , berg, or marchant?

Probably rule out berg, being that he plays center in the nhl.

So replace brad Marchand? Interesting?
First line talent or can play on any first line?

Why with the right C can't he hit his average of 45-50pts a season. If they get that player I would keep him. But understand what you're saying.

Boils down to god given talent and lack of effort.

Sam , son of a long time nhler has been given every benefit of the doubt thru out his hockey playing career.

His effort has been brought up countless times for the past few years. The sammers can deny it, but it happened in national view last week vs. Detroit.

Sam is getting set up by a top 3 passer in the league.
Pp1 every benefit possible. He has 21 goals.

For whatever reason ( I'm hoping they are boosting his trade value) the Sabres refuse to play them apart or at his drafted position- center- which he failed at prior

As a season ticket holder- ( it's my fault and all that) we lost an entire season on purpose for this non franchise player? Seriously, when the next guy picked is a mega superstar.
He is also slow and not all all exciting in person. His stats are great ,but hes slow and doesnt go all out.
Off ice - countless douche bag moves. Including not signing an autograph for a young fan.

Pommer- 2nd rounder worked his way up thru the ranks.
Even waived but percerveered.
Scored big goals and led the sabres to playoff games.
Then the wild to playoff games.

Seems like pommer gave it everything , despite not having god gifted talents. Hard worker. Clutch scorer.

Off the ice, he's a Great dude. A great human being.

He clearly was named captain, which obviously means the team and teammates respect him .

Sam wore an "A" the other day, as a make up , feel good coaching decision. Here sam, we believe in you. Dont worry about meany mike Harrington.

I can not and will not argue Sam's scoring stats.
They are impeccable. Consistent from year to year with growth. Actually impressive
.

Mostly with eichel. That's where the asterisk appears

Pommer at 36 years old last year showed how easy it is to score with eichel. Easy peasy.

- Boss34

How’s he doing that with the “lack of effort” you keep claiming?
Yeah, i know Eichel

Sure, Pommer got a few goals with Jack
Not 60+ points though

Kinda seems like Sam is just your whipping boy bc he isn’t the TYPE of player you want,
even though he’s quite good

Ok, I'll rephrase to make it simple. He's one of the top 90 forwards (probably middle of that list) in the NHL. Making him a first line forward. To be a winning team, add to him not subtract him. Clearer?

Why ask for my opinion in a sincere way? Then just sh't all over it?

You think he's quite good. I dont care and didnt ask. Nor will I in the future.

The divide on Sam is funny. His harshest critics think he's a 6m player. His biggest fans think he's a 7.5m player, and balk hard at any suggestion of giving him an 8yr@9m deal.

I disagree with you
Why’s that set u off so much?
It was a sincere question, and a sincere response

U mention stuff like him not signing an autograph for a young fan
EVERY SINGLE PLAYER IN THE HISTORY OF HOCKEY HAS DONE THAT TOO
Hell... make that every sport, not just hockey

On eichel's line? Easily 60-100 players.
He gifts points to players.

That's the straw that broke the camel's back.

Are you happy with the present sabres?

If not, improvements are needed.

Cant blame dahlin, cozens , joker , skinner or eichel for the past 6 years of losing. Since the 2014 draft.

He'd be second in points behind Barzals for the Islanders (48)
He'd be first in points on the Blue Jackets (2nd be Dubios at 43)
Tied for second on the Flyers (3 behind Couturier)

That's just the 6-8 in the Eastern Conference. But keep the narrative.
