Truly, you only need to worry about your division, as far as making the playoffs etc. but I feel like there’s an old saying somewhere, and it has something to do with a paper tiger, or a straw man, or a wet noodle... - 1970vintage
This team is a serious contender with a farm team full of replacements waiting for their turn. |

Critisizing them also doesnt mean were panicking. Wanting more or improvement doesnt make us bitter or whiners. They have exceeded expectations but are still a very flawed team - Codes1087

I'm super happy with how they have done in the standings. I love hughes, petey, miller, supporting cast, podkolzin and hoglander and madden, lots and lots of positives, but there is much work to be done - Codes1087
We all see the impact Miller has had. A couple more players like that will change the culture. It's up to JB to find the right mix and make the right moves.
Podkolzin is always trying hard. Scouts saying how Hoglander's legs never stop moving and Madden plays like Lind willing to mix it up.
The most work I think has to be done on the defensive side still. |

Bailey gets 3 hat tricks in a few weeks, I think that deserves a call up
Macewen comes in and drops the gloves with a tough guy in foligno, benched the next game
Rafferty is having a record breaking season for defenseman in Utica and we call up brisebois
It tells me that green or jimbo havent instilled any sort of fear that players need to be held accountable. They all have safety nets that will catch them if they underperform. |

Super happy with what I'm reading about prospects, but even closer to the team are the kids in the AHL who are doing super well and deserve opportunities, especially when schaller and LE are playing like this |

To be fair Benning did try to fix the toughness issue. He did bring in Schaller Roussel Benn Ferland and Miller . Problem still remains that the rest of the team are still pillow biters.
Shaller has been useless and Benn is enjoying the new country club. Roussel and Ferland have been injury prone.
This isn't a new revelation Canucks have been pussies for years and year. It is very hard to build a team that is tough and skilled .
Your captain is one of the biggest pillow biters there is . |

If bo played with more snarl, he would be the perfect captain. I don't think many can criticize his ethic, or his ability play and remain healthy and consistent, everyone just wants him to stick up for the boys, throw hits, give out extra slashes, give a guy a face wash.
And for the record, I like bo as the captain. Is miller maybe better suited today, sure, but I think horvat will grow into it, hes only been captain for 48 or so games. |

Hit on the forecheck, jump in the scrum, jaw at people and stand up for your team. Captain means respecting your fans, city, and organization, not the other teams. |

This. He plays great hockey, now just add some snarl and nastiness and the fans will adore him |

I thought Bo had a very good game last night but the issue is I can name about 30 other games this year where I was not impressed at all.
A guy his size should be hitting a lot more and have a few more fights under his belt. |

To be fair, you can bring in all the toughness you want, but, if you are being coached to stay away from scrums, do fly-by and not finish checks(etc)the toughness aspect of those players, becomes irrelevant.
It isn't much of a scrum, when you are the only player from your team involved. |

Vasily Podkolzin and 🇷🇺 lost 4-3 to the 🇨🇿 in a shootout earlier this morning.
Podkolzin was kept off the scoersheet and was not called upon in the shootout.
-------
Spoke too soon. Pod sucks again and isn't helping his team win. |

I think I preferred when Virtanen didn't back check so he couldn't screen his own goalie. |

Super bad timing. Puppy is 15 weeks luckily, crate trained, house trained, great sleeper. Bladder the size of sutters balls has been the only issue |
