Agreed. He played with an edge. Some people talk about him playing with an edge but all I see is him gliding around letting up on hits 9 times out of 10. Last night he played a good game. I don’t think too many fans would take issue with the guy and his contract if he played like that even half the time.

Ross played pretty well after a horrific first few shifts. He turned the puck over 5 times on 2 shifts. It was painful to watch... my son and I (who both love Ross).. were watching and started to count. Turnover by Ross... and 2... 3...

second 2 periods he played great. you can tell someone spoke to him b/c he was making sure he got it deep, out of the zone, etc. Almost scored a couple of times and fed those Lefts to Hathaway.

we reallly have some morons on the team though... you had Hathaway and Wilson trying to get guys like Mayfield, Barzal, and Leo to react and get a penalty. They got a reaction every time. Martin too.... just dumb.

I don't care what anybody says when ever they dress Johnston vs Wilson that guy doesn't do sh!t on the ice. Wilson watched Johnston pummel Hathaway and wouldn't even look at him on the ice later on and they were down 5-1 at the time. I guarantee you if Johnston was scratched Wilson would have been running everybody at 5-1. Instead he tried messing with Uncle Leo and that's why you dress the Boss for games like this. Huge two points!!!

I don't care what anybody says when ever they dress Johnston vs Wilson that guy doesn't do sh!t on the ice. Wilson watched Johnston pummel Hathaway and wouldn't even look at him on the ice later on and they were down 5-1 at the time. I was thinking about this last night more of who sits when pelech is back? Dobson? He hasn't really hurt the team and is the future. Pelech wont be back till the first round if that but who loses their spot? Not leddy pulock pelech or toews so its boychuk or Mayfield. I think 55 becomes the 7th man personally

I think Mayfield is a pretty good bottom 6 defender for his contract. He does get his nuts beat in but I have to give the kid credit he never backs down to anyone.
