True dat. You see him try to absorb the hit and protect the puck and sometimes it just doesn’t work.

Speed of the forecheck as well. That’s going to make you rush and make mistakes. When he grows (and he will, because he will get marching orders this off season) he will be able to absorb the hit or roll off the hit and use it to his advantage vs disadvantage seen now.

while strength will happen and be huge in his development his vision and anticipation of whats going to happen is what will ultimately separate him. plenty of big guys that can absorb hits and roll off them but still panic under pressure see mayfield and boychuk. not a knock on them but a top pair d man can play both physically and mentally

He has actually improved with his play along the boards the last few games in our zone as compared to his first few games IMO but ultimately he needs to pack some muscle on to be really effective in that sense as we all know. He’s 6’4” so once he does he should be pretty tough to get off the puck.

He’s 100% has the vision, hockey sense, and hockey talent.

Kids gonna be real good. Hopefully for us his game dose grow into the Pietrangelo comparison.

I think JB and Mayfield don’t have the skating skill Dobson has so they basically take the hit and protect the puck up against the boards where Noah’s skating ability like Leddy, he can roll off and skate away.
