I just read the Rutherford interview with LeBrun and this stood out because it sounds like the team is focused on a window too:
That’s the priority, yes. When you just look at the Zucker trade, our first-round pick that we would have this year and Addison, who is a very good prospect, probably won’t be ready to play in this three-year window. So that’s where I have to make some of those decisions. |

Great news on both fronts. My guess is Bjugstad is not ready before the deadline though. - Rinosaur
Maybe not though I don't think they were trading him now anyways. I think GMJR wants to add bodies, not subtract them. Could still use a bottom 6 LW if Simon is on the top line. |

I didn't mean that in terms of them trading Bjugstad, but in terms of adding another forward because of his timeline and not sure how he will be when he returns. |

The deadline is what, the 24th? If he's first just skating before practice now there's no way he's ready before the deadline. I'd be surprised if he's even practicing in a contact jersey by then.
Maybe my just antsy want them to grab another quality forward. |

Have you guys read the DK article about cap space, deadline cap space, IR and LTIR?
It's explained so damn well. I don't subscribe to DK anymore but this recent (yesterday) article just popped up in my Facebook Newsfeed like a suggested ad. I guess as promotion it allowed me to read all of it. |

Wrong. Any time he actually shoots or scores a goal everyone(commentators and fans alike) are like, "why doesn't he use that shot more often?" - Rinosaur
If 9 times out of 10 the shot is a muffin it’s probably because he has poor form and needs to accidentally catch the puck just right to make the shot actually respectable. The dude has a soft ass shot pretty much every time he shoots. |

Erik Karlsson out for the season. Does Bjugstad become an option? |

For who ? |

So, Given Zucker was the original target for Kessel, the trade ended up being
Kessel
Addison
2020 1st
2020 4th
Zucker
POJ
Given Kessel's STEEP Decline and POJ's upside (at least that of Addison) I still like the deal. It also saves 1.5 Million and gives us a Dman ready to play on the bottom pair on the cheap soon |

Nevermind. I had a serious brain fart and thought Karlsson from Vegas. |

I'm just not going drag on an argument that has no conclusion. I think one thing, he thinks another. That's that. |

This thought crossed my mind, too. Not sure if it would have been 1-for-1, though, but regardless, I like it, too. |
