Who’d have thunk it.
This team is playing far better than I dared hope. |

The team also just went 3-1 in 6 days without McDavid against 3 fellow bubble teams and Tampa. Talk about words I never thought I'd be able to say about this team. |

Benson-Nuge-Archie... would be pretty darn happy if that could be 3rd line |

Leon has 10 points in those 4 games.....I’m almost feeling like with a few moves this team could go deep this year.....not to mention getting McDavid, Kass and Neal back too

I wouldn’t break up the Drai Nuge and Yams line right now

For VAN's 1st and Nolan Foote, apparently. Damn, sucks to not get him but that price wouldn't have been easy to beat.
As if they need MORE talent on that roster |

Nolan Foote and a 1st round pick to New Jersey for Blake Coleman.

Our 1st and Jesse would have been close, no?
I’ve little familiarity with Foote. |

Thinking on it a bit, I might've been willing to go that high for him, but probably would've needed conditions on the pick. Tampa has the luxury of two 1sts and a roster already equipped for a run so they don't have the same uncertainty around their picks. |

Foote is a bit higher rated I suppose as a prospect. Devils have Arizona and Vancouvers firsts. Going to need you guys to go ahead and beat them both every time you play them. |

If it happens again, tough to imagine them not doing some reshaping. Ship out one or two of Johnson, Gourde, Killorn or Palat for an infusion of youth or picks and continue to be dominant using the cap space and picks to find another Coleman. |

I don’t mind doing a slight over payment....we all know with trades that there are other teams driving the prices up.....I can only hope that Holland is on his phone non stop to get some help

Coleman seemed to be an attractive piece, too. Plays the game in such a way where he'd be extra valuable in the playoffs (5-on-5 scoring and PK ability), has skill and his contract is VERY accommodating for teams with a cap crunch. I'm glad he's staying out East, at least. Seeing him go to Colorado as well would've been tough to see. |

So my question for you is with him off the market who do you want to see? I still want AA and maybe see if we couldn’t pry Staal out of the Wild as he would be a great depth player imo

Palmieri would be of interest. AA would be fine, but he's not in a tier with Palmieri or Coleman. There's probably others I'm forgetting right now, but I've gotta sleep for now 🤙 |
