Laferriere will hopefully be a Wing because if not then I would think that would be a massive disappointment.....I figured you guys have earned it at this point - RatedR80
I hope hes not a wing, habs or sens.
The wings have had decades of good hockey, id like to see them suffer a little longer |

Lol ok it too early. Reread it.
But that still make no sense. If they are able to develop players that gives them more ammunition to make trades for needs. Saying they can develop players now, when they previously couldn’t , and thus shouldn’t trade futures is ass backwards. - burn
Sure it can go both ways.
If they keep developing players then they need to make trades anyway. Sometimes guys can make it but the team needs someone with a little more experience and can trade for them.
Leafs need andersen to be the real Andersen for the playoffs. |

Guy. Your team's rebuild is longer than the Trojan War. - gergeswillems
Give you guys a compliment, and you whine like a female dog. You guys aren't that good with that poopty defense. You better watch out cause you keep playing like that and the are supposed crappy team is gonna catch you. |

I'm hoping for Lafreniere but am expecting to draft 4th. It'll still be a huge Let down if they don't win the draft lottery. - gergeswillems
not getting Lafreniere would suck, but this draft is SOOOOOOOOO STACKED in the top 10 that even at 3 or 4, you're still getting a franchise player. |

Saw a clip last night showing the ref 10 feet way didn’t call the nonexistent Muzzin trip, but the ref at Centre called it, while being literally blocked by 3 players.
Un(frank)ing believable |

Didn't watch last night and I stand by my decision.
This team will not beat Boston or Tampa.
Hell, the playoffs are still an open question.
I hope Dubas does nothing at the trade deadline.

you don't understand - the refs haven't caught up to the fact that penalties should be rewarded based on how the roster looks like on paper..
The proposal by this one particular leafs fan is to give Bruins 10penalties at start of each game, because their roster looks "tough" .. |

come on man, we all know that the leafs are the greatest team assembled in the salary cap era. they're so much better than every other team that there is a league wide plot, involving DOPS and the refs, to make sure that they lose. all officials have come together and decided that they will call everything on the leafs, and nothing against their opponents.....................they still aren't sure if that will be enough though, considering how unbelievably dominant that this team is, so there will be a series of heavy fines against teams who win games (Buffalo is about to get one) and any player who does more than stick check a leafs player will be looking at supplemental discipline.
finally, other teams MIGHT have a chance against this absolutely perfectly put together roster, this is in no way completely flawed and full of holes. |

There's a reason why the Sabers always play the Leafs hard in there home rink. Its the embarrassment factor. Three quarters of the rink are Leaf fans and it would make them look silly if they were laughed out of there own building. Leafs don't experience this, its the opposite every were they go. The Leafs would be way better off if there fans would stay home, leave the building half empty and take the David vs Goliath factor out of it all IMO.

this team is built to allow the big guys to score. Big goal from the 4th line but the top 2/3 lines have to bag 3 goals themselves. I blame Matthews, Marner, JT, and Willie. |

every time the habs play in Toronto, half that building or more are habs fans............and yes, the leafs are usually laughed out of their own building. |

He's more important to this leafs team than a lot of fans think. |

Pit, Pit, Car, TB, Fla, Van ........they're going to have to get their poop together.
Florida with 1 win in last 7 is some serious good luck. |

Hyman's great ...can't take anything away from him in terms of effort.
Frankly it's Matthews, Marner, JT and Willie that determine what kind of night the Leafs are going to. have. If they're all determined and giving max effort then this team is tough to beat. If they're not bringing it then we get nights like last night.
It's the lack of maturity that Keefe's talking about. |

largely true - agreed.
however, Dubas should deal Barrie - the Leafs are definitely resigning the guy, and if they do make the playoffs, Barrie is not capable of filling any role other than that of "Game 7 Gardiner"...
so ... get some assets for him if you can.
pick up one or two less expensive defenders - one of whom you could possibly resign next season. |
