What’s dragging them behind is bad goaltending from Freddy, injuries and the lack of D depth to support those injuries, and lately the bottom 6 has been crap.

I was thinking “imagine a playoff series so both teams could actually care the same about the matchup”

That, and they always have problems with Ottawa and Buffalo.

A lot of things go into a loss. Unfortunately, I think some of it is pretty consistent with other poor performances. At times, the Leafs just don't seem to care much or be able to overcome any adversity.

Hopefully developing guys like KK, Caufield, Harris, Romanov, etc. will change that lack of skills without sacrificing the overall good effort.

We dreadfully need someone else to take care of our powerplay too... Kirk Muller had a good run but it's been dreadful for 2 years now.

Eichel is a great player. Pretty much a one man band on that poop squad. He's no Matthews though.

The comparison to Scott Gomez may well be one of the stupidest I have ever seen though. So congrats on that one
