I would like to see the Leafs play with the effort and the goaltending the Habs have. The Habs problem is a lack of high-end talent.

The Leafs problem is that they are a very talented team but not a very good one. (credit to who it was who said that first)

Muzzin is not very good in this Leafs system - he cannot keep up with the Leafs' tempo and style of play.
If you want to go out and play such a game, he (and Holl) should not be in your top6 of d-men. (Holl could be a good #7 D).
So don't renew Muzzin - unless you're willing to adapt the playing style somewhat ..

I disagree. Muzzin more than makes up for his limited physical skills with his high hockey IQ and instincts. He has excellent awareness. He makes his teammates better. He's the Leafs best defenseman IMO. That's not a slight against Rielly. Muzzin plays a more complete game.

He's literally been the only consistent d-man the Leafs have and hasn't remotely looked like he's being left behind on plays.

Think the leafs are questioning decision to give C to Tavares? Guy looked skittish last night. Payed a lot of $$ to top 6 guys who don’t want to go into the corners. Might be time to let someone go, send a message. Matthews looks less like and less like Jack Eichel lite, reminds me of an overpayed Scott Gomez

I live in Guelph and would rather drive to Buffalo than use Pearson.

So, I guess I am saying that Buffalo is a good place to be "from".

That's a good point. Rielly has been playing with an injury this season which hurt his game. I'll agree that if he's 100% he's better than Muzzin.
